Breakfast was impressive, although coffee was too strong, and then remade too weak.

Less expensive parking at the hotel itself. Half the price quoted ideally in line with surrounding options.

We loved the design, decor, quietness and comfort. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Doing the basics to an exceptional level. Clean, smelt nice, attentive staff all with smiles and nothing was a chore or hard work.

Beer selection. I’m a common man with common man’s tastes.

Luxurious property with attentive staff who went out of their way to make our stay special. They upgraded us to a Park suite free of charge for my birthday and even had a mini birthday cake sent up to our room. Unforgettable stay.

The room was a good size, and nicely appointed.

Overall, it was a rather poor experience for what was supposed to be 5 stars. It started when we called the morning of our stay to ask whether it would be possible to check in slightly earlier, at 2pm (instead of the 3pm check-in time listed). We were told "I don't know". We asked for clarification and were simply advised "you would have to ask when checking-in". Given the response, we decided to instead find a way to kill some time and arrived for check-in shortly after 3pm. We parked in the underground carpark, unloaded the car, and then discovered that the lifts weren't operating, and hadn't been for quite some time. With no clear instructions, we finally found that we had to walk up the ramp out of the carpack, around the block carrying all of our bags, to then walk in the front driveway of the hotel. Upon check-in, we were advised "the team is just finalising some things", and told to step aside and wait for 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we were still just standing there. By this time our 1yo and 4yo children were starting to get restless. I asked the front desk how much longer and was advised the same thing - they are finalising some things and won't be much longer. After waiting over 30 minutes I had to go up and ask again. After another 5 minutes of back and forth between staff members, we were then checked in. About 35 minutes of just standing there with no updates or explanation. 10 minutes after getting into the room, a staff member knocks on the door. They handed my wife some chocolates. We assumed this was a gift for the poor check-in experience, and started to feel better about our stay.... Until my wife noticed that it had someone else's name on it. The staff member took it back and said "oh, this isn't for you". A number of other small dissapointments also occurred during our stay: - We entered/exited the hotel with prams and children via the front doors 6 times during our stay.

Staff were very gracious. Room was large and quite comfortable alyhough outlets wree few and hard to reach. Nice bathroom and fine beds and linens. So overakk, very pleasant place to stay. Large indoor pool an addded bonus.
