Check in was very smooth. Staff was very helpful. Had asked for an accessible room if available and they did have one that they assigned us.

Had a little bit of difficulty getting the room temperature correct. Had to turn radiator down/off to cool down the room. Door for shower was missing, and since it was a roll-in shower, a lot of water spilled onto the bathroom floor.

Location is excellent, a short walk from the Royal Mile and close to multiple restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful with several requests for extra help. Breakfast had good options for buffet or order from the menu.

View from room was of back of buildings and a parking lot. Not ideal, but not all views in a city can be great. Waffles ordered off the breakfast menu were very tough.

Room was tight, with two beds and a crib, there was no room for luggage or anything else.

The rooms don't have air conditioning and windows don't open. Loud noise from the parking behind the building all afternoon and started again 7am the next day. Couldn't rest after a long flight and couldn't sleep in the next morning. We asked to change the room but was told it wasn't possible.. The shower and the sink water don't drain easily and turn into a pool fast.

Great location - great view of the castle, plenty of restaurants right there on the same square, short walk to the Royal Mile. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds.

Some street noise in the evening (but it was quiet overnight). Redone modern bathroom needs more towel racks.

Room was lovely, big, 2 double beds, very nice bathroom, all very clean, View from window was not the best, looking onto other buildings, location was perfect to walk to major venues, breakfast was very good, very attentive staff. Bar was good in the evening, very good staff.

the staff were very friendly, efficient and did everything to make our stay better. I really appreciate the offer to bring anything needed up to our room while I was babysitting and the restaurant were very helpful organising a particular meal for our autistic grandchild.

Large, updated room with amazing view of the castle. Central to restaurants and nightlife. Great staff.

Bed could have been more comfortable. Only two elevators so it often took a bit to get upstairs.

The hotel location is very good right in the heart of the Grassmarket. Judita the receptionist couldn't have been more helpfull, a credit to the hotel. The room was an accessable room and size wise really good as I use an electric buggy. The breakfast menu is very good with plenty of choices.

The room didn't have a view but we never specified that. The disabled access door needs to have an entry switch as it is not easy trying to hold the door and get in or out without someones help.

Carpets in bedroom and hallways are a in need of replacing. Bathroom sink had a huge crack in it.

We left an whole bag of food in the room. We came back and checked if they kept them for us or not. They said they threw them away without checking with us:-( We booked three nights and checked out one day before. We requested the invoice but they couldn’t provide it because it hasn’t finished. They promised that they would send me the invoice through the mail but they haven’t.
