Beautiful hotel in a very good location within a 10 minute stroll from Palermo Central station. We also had the resident pianist playing in the central courtyard in the evening while enjoying our aperitvo. Lovely! The room was beautiful, quiet and spacious. We requested a quiet room and got it, it was at the side of the hotel. Appreciated the kettle to make our own hot drinks in the room. The central courtyard was lovely and has a retractable roof.

We had breakfast and felt it could be better. Just little things like having teaspoons and spoons for eating cereal on the table. The scrambled eggs and bacon were just about lukewarm so a lot of other guests left those on their plates. I requested gluten free food and there was a good range, including cereal and choices of crisp breads and bread, so this was excellent! Also appreciated the choice of non dairy milks. All staff in the hotel were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Three members of my travel group of friends (8 total) had significant theft of jewellery and cash from their rooms. When reported it was said there was not proof.

This former stock exchange is a great hotel in a great location. It is surprisingly quiet for a hotel so close to the center of the city’s most important destinations. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was superb. My wife and I especially enjoyed sitting around the fountain in the center of the main floor of the hotel. Memorable.

The breakfast was very good, but we’ve had better, and for the price we expected it to be great. I didn’t like the Jacuzzi bath tub/ shower combination unit in the bathroom. It was narrow and awkward to get into and out of.A traditional shower stall would have been a better choice, I think.

The location and lobby/courtyard were beautiful.

Our room felt like a cave. The one window looked into a light well. When we asked to be moved, we were told no, maybe tomorrow. When I asked the next day, we were told no rooms were available. The room we had had a decent bed, but very heavy old furniture with the one occasional chair sitting in the entry hallway since there was no room in the actual room.

It’s a huge building common parts are a bit tired and lacking in plants and new paint . Would like to see a roof terrace too.

The staff was super friendly, especially Davide at the reception who helped us with finding a car park late at night, sort out our ztl application and gave us great tips for eating out in Palermo. Room was grand, clean and functional

If there is one thing to improve I would suggest be the windows. Those on our room were super old and could not fend at all from the noise coming from the piazza during the night. Palermo is a very live and bustling city especially during the weekend and providing good soundproof windows should be a priority for a hotel of such stand as the GHPB

old colonial style

very lovely and friendly helpful staff. the most comfortable bed, room air conditioning was excellent. delicious breakfast with enormous range to choose from.

only downside was the shower, not much hot water and splashed water everywhere!

Great location, middle of the old town with wonderful restaurants right on the doorstep. Friendly and helpful reception and staff, beautiful interior atrium space, tranquil and elegant. Spacious and well-appointed rooms, clean, well-serviced daily. We made daily use of the gym and also the lovely pool and facilities at the sister hotel in Mondello for last 2 days, which was lovely way to end our 5 day stay. Highly recommended.

Great location near restaurants and easy to leave car for valet parking.

Some issues with plumbing and electrics across whole hotel but quickly resolved. I think bath not used in a while as water very brown but basin and shower fine.

it’s location

It badly needs a makeover. dead plants in the central atrium. Awful bar area. Mediocre breakfast with truly terrible coffee. All round lack lustre experience. Their information states there’s a pool - the pool is in fact in their sister hotel out of town. The air-con didn’t work in the gym. This could be a magnificent place - a lovely bar with someone piano playing in the central atrium and people coming in off ViaRoma for a drink or lunch and some cooling air. Majeztic plants as befits the huge central height etc etc etc. I was itching to get my hands on the place and improve it. Overpriced.

The staff was horrible. extremely rude and prejudice. I did not feel safe staying there as a black woman. please, stay away! when I called concierge to ask for a towel, they asked me “why?” a staff member named Max was especially rude. they also held my passport at the front desk— why?!

the room is clean and spacious. AC works well.

the attention is bad: the person at the reception when we did check in was rude. the waiters at breakfast were rude. and they serve expired food.

The beds left a lot to be desired.
