Das Hotel ist im Jahre gekommen und manche Sachen sind kaputt aber wenn man Bescheid sagt, wird es repariert.

Petit dej très varié (salé, sucré, fruits, céréales, pains,...) face à la mer, chambres très spacieuses, bien insonnorisées, salle de bains avec baignoire et dche, balcon. Extérieurs très propres. Places parking ++. Personnel toutes catégories (jardiniers, accueuil, femme de chambre, service restaurant et piscines, gardiens parking) à l'écoute, serviable, poli, tjrs un petit mot agréable. Hotel bien placé malgré la période un peu trop calme de l'île.

The room was spacious.
The grounds were spacious and beautiful.
There was a sandy beach nearby and two pools.
There were several loose dogs and my dog was attacked (bitten).
There were not many beach chairs on the sand.

This place is very nice - BUT could do so much better!!! With simple steps this place could be truley amazing.
I was astonished that almost all the guests rather eat outside than in the resort.
There is huge potential for that resort - in case you need a guidance - let me know!

The property was fabulous. The grounds were clean and well kept.
Housekeeping did not do their duty each day. Always something not finished. For a property on the beach, i did expect them to sweep our room floor.
Pillows were way too thick. Got a neck ache from it.

This is a wonderful resort. It is beautifully landscaped, both pools are great, the food is amazing, and the staff are caring and conscientious. The manager also remembered us from our wedding and made special preparations for us. Fantastic.

Quiet bungalow. Two pools.
According to room type we booked, it was supposed to include a lounge. But there was no lounge at all anymore. Location is a bit off from main road.

The pool area and beach near it had a terrible smell-like sewage. I wonder what is causing it?
Also, the water in the shower was not warm enough. The beach was disappointing as the sea was too shallow.

Restaurant served good thai food in the evening.
Where everything else was good, the breakfast selection was disappointing for this category of hotel. Catering mainly western visitors, the selection of bread, cold cuts and cheese is not appropriate. Bread was asian style soft bread. Strongly recommend to find a suplyer of French or German style bread. Overall the quality of the items should be improved. It's not about quantity.
The variation from day to day is a bit limited. If you stay several weeks, it must be boring.
Ceiling fan on the terrace of deluxe rooms would be a great improvement!

I loved the staff at the bars (Guy from Splash bar), restaurant (Plaatoe, A, Donut, Joe and the poor guy at the eggstation), massage (A) and housekeeping (Girl that made elephants out of towels and wrote "I love you" on the bed). They made our stay simply amazing. That's something that management did do very well. I would hire the above people straight away if I owned a hotel.
We also loved the great restaurants at a 10 minute walk, the green areas, swimming pool, rooms, flavour of foreign breakfast items.
Many people aren't sure to choose KC or Centara I've seen in my research. So we stayed 4 nights at KC and 6 at Centara. We still don't know which one we like best even though not the same. Because they both score good on different things:
Breakfast is flavourwise better at Centara for foreign food. For Thai food it's the other way around (I'm a good judge as I've spend over 7 years in Thailand). Lunch / dinner is a lot better at KC. Organisationwise (management wise) KC is way better than Centara. Very calm and pretty nature at Centara with huge green spaces but a prettier beach at KC. Location of KC is closer to 7eleven (next door) and some restaurants that are fine but not great, bars and laundry places. Massages around KC arent great. Best to have a beach massage at the hotel. Its worth the double price. Cosy feel. At Centara you have to walk about 7 minutes before you hit the big main road. Not very cosy but many very nice restaurants and a bigger supermarket. Again massage at the hotel is much better than the surrounding massage parlours.
The staff at KC is very friendly especially reception, bellboys and housekeeping. But not as much at the bars and restaurants. With Centara it's kind of the opposite. Extremely kind-hearted and hard-working people at the bars, restaurant, housekeeping and massage with a lot of honesty and respect for foreigners.
Management could optimise some things way better to earn way more money and have even happier customers.
1. The keycard didn't do anything. Lights and A/C don't switch off after you take it out. I think you can save on energy cost (and help the environment) by making sure everything switches off. People on a holiday are lazy.
2. The egg, bacon, waffle, pancake etc. station needs an extra employee. At peaktime the workstress isn't ok for the person working there. And also doesn't help the customer satisfaction. Needs two employees.
3. Need an extra coffee machine or staff serving coffee and tea. Huge line every morning at peak time. Ridiculous.
4. A lot of great restaurant floor staff that don't have to do much after breakfast. Maybe one could help after breakfast at check-in peak time (A, Dougnut or Joe for example).
5. Sales sales sales. Missing soooo much here!
5.1. Stop the huge lunch and dinner menu and have about 10 menu items that you train your staff in to do very well (let YouTube help). It's pretty scary to see that only us went to the restaurant most of the time but so many items on the menu with different ingredients available at all times. It makes you wonder: is it fresh? Most things we tried weren't great. Khao soi was pretty nice and priced better compared to other dishes. Also a safe option as chicken was used in breakfast almost every day.

Two small fresh made bread rolls from that morning (reheated in the oven for 5 minutes) with soft butter as a warm welcome. (Current bread and butter is horrific)

I recently stayed at the Centara Koh Chang hotel and it was a complete disappointment :(((.
Firstly, the staff at the hotel were extremely unprofessional. I wanted to try SUP and they recommended me to go to the river next to the hotel, where I spent an hour before realizing that the water was polluted with sewage water from local houses. One day later the hotel staff confirmed that this is a known issue, but they still sent me there, endangering my health.
I got sore throat and fever the next day, and when I reached home I was diagnosed with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) which is super painful. I had a fever, sore throat, and painful rashes on my hands and feet. I’m still recovering from it, my skin is peeling looking like a zombie.
When I emailed the hotel to request a refund, they admitted their fault said they would process my refund, but they have not followed through with their promise to refund me. Despite sending them two follow-up emails, they have not replied to me, which shows a complete lack of concern for their guests' well-being.
The staff's negligence towards my health, as well as their lack of customer service, was absolutely unacceptable.
I’ll update my review if they reply and I get a refund.
