Beautiful lake view, the balcony and the star gazing at night. Comfortable beds, clean hotel room. Heater was left on arrival, the girls appreciate the chocolates. The restaurant meals were delicious and good quality, great customer service and we got free drink vouchers.We appreciate an email notification regarding ongoing road work outside the hotel.

Road work and road closure. The rooms could do with some upgrades, heater in bathroom is not working.

Fantastic location, looking out over the lake, 20 mins from Wanaka. Look out for the night sky. Whoa.

The hotel is on the hill like a scenic lookout and you can have a stunning view of the snowy mountains with the beautiful Hawea lake.

It is about 15 minutes from Wanaka but it does not botther us much.

nice location, big rooms. not the staff’s fault but we had very noisy people upstairs. The view from the balcony was breathtaking!

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with parking at the door. We had only an overnight stay but views of the lake were superb. We arrived after reception closed but had very prompt answers when we called to let the hotel know we'd be arriving late. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again.

This hotel is very understaffed. Reception hours are limited. The restaurant was closed during our stay. There are no self catering facilities. There are no laundry facilities. The building looks very tired and in need of refurbishment. There are no air conditioning units , only fans, and the mezzanine level got extremely hot.

the views are amazing- really gorgeous and location near the lake is lovely. While they were a bit understaffed we had great service and food everyone enjoyed.

The shower facilities were a bit primitive. The location made up for it though.

It is very close to the lake, quiet surroundings, free parking. If you ask at the Hotel for a hair dryer they give it to you. Ginger is the cat of the Hostel, "but please don't feed the cat, she only needs cuddles".

Misleading advertising: the photos of Booking are from the Hotel, not from the HoStel. The HoStel doesn't have views of the lake, is dirty, riddled with bugs and very neglected. In 5 days they havn't come to clean, the garbage has been 4 days without throwing away. The bathroom is disgusting, neither in the public toilets nor in the campsites are so bad. The women's bathroom is full of bugs, the shower water does not come out hot. The wifi signal does not reach the HoStel because it is only for those of the Hotel and you have to go to the parking if you want to be connected. The photos of the bar and billiards are not from the HoStel, only from the restaurant-bar that is expensive. The laundry is in a hut that seems abandoned, so it is really panic to put a washing machine or a dryer. Very painful and poor quality.
