Linda and Ian were both great host. Very welcoming. The room was well presented and the bed was comfy . Clean and to a hight standard. The bath room and bath were lovely. The breakfast was to order and delicious! Enjoy both mornings! Stunning views from the dinning room. We loved out stay!

Beautiful location, very peaceful. Lovely pre-order breakfast, Cooked well and excellent produce. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfy bed, big room, nice biscuits and water, very clean and balcony had a beautiful view. Nice to have fresh milk in a flask for tea.

Coming home as wished we had stayed longer.

Great stay, perfect little getaway - beautiful location and lovely character house. Stayed 1 night and it was just fab. Hosts were very attentive and the room was just great. The breakfast was also amazing, especially with the setting. In the country so don't expect a pub just around the corner. Hosts helpful re; evening eating places with several nice options. We ended up at an american grill shack - ridiculous amounts of food, couldn't finish but fun and extraordinally good value. see tripadvisor for more info. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book again.

Set in a perfect spot for access to north & south Devon. A beautiful peaceful location with idyllic views from bedroom balcony overlooking the garden, paddock and hills. The room was wonderful with the low ceilings and creaky floors fitting of an old thatched cottage. Linda and Ian were excellent hosts and provided a scrumptious breakfast each morning including homemade bread and preserves.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Ian and Linda were amazing hosts who couldn’t do enough to help. The bed was extremely comfy and having a separate living area for guests was a lovely touch. The breakfast was 5* and the freshly made bread was divine. Will definitely recommend and be back for another visit.

The property is beautiful on approach, the location and scenery is so lovely too. The couple who the run the BnB were so attentive and kind. The room and bathroom were lovely! Shower and rolltop bath so luxurious and great. Breakfast was incredible and so tasty! Felt so welcome in what is their home! Another thing was as we were attending a wedding we asked to check in earlier to freshen up after our 3 hour car journey and they let us, we really really appreciated this. Such a kind and well received gesture.

Fernside is situated in a beautiful location. It is exceptionally clean and you are greeted by warm welcoming hosts. The house is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Lots of extra little touches that really make a difference. The room we stayed in was spectacular - light and airy with everything you need. Clean crisp bedding, fluffy white towels and not a thing out of place. The bath is out of this world. Our breakfast was superb. Freshly prepared with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. We can't fault anything. The grounds are immaculately kept and the lake just stunning. The best place we've EVER stayed.

Ian and Linda were the perfect hosts from the minute we arrived, welcoming us into their beautifully thatched cottage. Our room (Lynton) was perfect with spectacular views and wildlife from the balcony with all the extra touches to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Full english breakfast was amazing and my wife loved her vegetarian option, the homemade granary bread was fantastic!

This was an exceptionally great bed and breakfast with exceptional hosts. Could not fault a thing. So relaxing quiet and comfortable.
