The room was not supplied with coffee and sugar, nor were towels replaced for our second day.. There was no shampoo supplied at all

We stayed here as a family for 2 nights. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We liked it so much that we are booked to come back next week. It is definitely the best place for us that we have found so far in Ohakune.

The trains coming through at night disturbed us but that was absolutely expected given the location.

Room was cosy, location was good, heating was adequate, staff were friendly.

Internet was sluggish and a pity the TV didn't have a streaming service of some sort - broadcast TV is an abomination - 1st world problems right? haha

The Chalet was very comfortable to my family of 4. Water pressure of Shower was very good. Kids enjoyed the spa pool. Lots of board games to keep kids occupied...Mountain views were fantastic.

Wi-fi didn't work but I didn't need it anyway.

Location was good, and easy to check in and check out. Rooms were clean and tidy.

The shower was terrible - a waterfall, that creates a bath. We didn’t bother having a second one. Also, no face-cloth, no plug in bathroom, no soap, no spare towels, no milk in fridge. Funniest thing - it was impossible to plug in the electric blanket for one side of the bed - no socket and no extension cord.

Stayed for 3 nights. Couldn't get rid if rubbish, get new tea towel, toilet paper. Just a few basics

Thanks to Jane who kindly allowed us to re-schedule our booking due to the weather and gave us a lot of information on our arrival about the sights to see in Ohakune. The Lodge is not in the centre of the town, but we liked it very much, because it sits close to the rail way line and historic railway station, which was a pleasure for us to visit. It's also very close to Powderkeg Restaurant and Bar, which provides very good dinner. We chose a chatlet and there is a hot tub in the yard, which was great for the whole family!

My child was not extremely happy with the free Wifi, as it was not unlimited.

Fantastic value for money, great location, great service and the hot tub was great after a few days on the road. Highly recommended for a family.
