We have stayed n the same room before and we return to Cypress cottage because it represents incredible value for money when we go up to Swellendam. The room is large, the bed is fantastic and the water is hot. Also the parking is easy and safe. You can actually walk to nearby restaurants. Etienne is there if you need him but just let's you get on with things.

everything was perfect!

The house was full of Old World character set in a peaceful location close to all amenities and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. The room was clean comfortable and well equipped. The pool was adequate with a good sitting area providing comfortable loungers and good quality towels. Great breakfast with a full range of choices served on the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. The host Etienne was a mine of local knowledge which he shared by advising on visiting local attractions and route advice for our onward journey.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cypress Cottage! The guesthouse is immaculate - beautifully decorated and spotless. The hosts are friendly and helpful - lovely people to chat to. We would highly recommend Cypress Cottage and we would definitely stay again.
