We were initially offered a twin room but offered a lovely double room. Very Good.

Lovely stay at the firtrees. Very welcoming hotel and really relaxing. Great staff and fab breakfast. Fantastic value for money and wouldn't stay anywhere else when in the area!

Work was being done, but not disturbing.

Beds were very comfortable.

Quite dated. No one on reception when we arrived, we had to go and ask bar staff if anyone was available to check in. Breakfast wasn’t great. No staff around when we entered the dining room. No juice or milk left when we arrived and the breakfast itself was mediocre. Looked like bacon & potato bread had been in the deep fat fryer rather than a pan, toast was basically warmed bread. We had to ask for butter, milk, juice & ketchup….the waitress made her annoyance felt.

Lunch and dinner were good

Dinning room for breakfast at 10am. 8 tables with dirty dishes. Had to go receptio to see if any staff available. Two you g girls arrived eventually. No manafement Only one bedside locker/table available

The only good things were probably the polite receptionist and good location - easily accessible from main road and not so far from Strabane center. There was a restaurant in the hotel, serving okay food but for sure it was not tasty feast you will remember for weeks. Enough to kill your hunger, nothing more. The room had good size and seemed to be fine at the beginning...

...till I saw the mould on the bathroom ceiling. It was groundfloor, ventilation was very bad and whole place was humid and smelled like mould. Additionally seems like the place is a popular party destination cause most of the night you could here screams, shouts from parking area and someone yelling under our window. As I do not use the earplugs I slept maybe half of the night. Horrible. Additionally breakfast was served from 8 which seems a bit late for touristic destination as we had long drive ahead and needed to leave at 8. After asking in the reception if it is possible to get some food before that time as we paid for it, we agreed for 7.4. Next morning thought no one was available that time at the dining place when we came, place was closed. All in all at the end we got toast and jam packed to eat on the run with tea and coffee and managed to left 8.15 almost missing our booked reservation in the caves. Disappointing place, would not stay here again. Do not recommend.
