Loved our stay here and hosts were lovely. Super close to Akureyri and beautifully nestled in a valley with hills on 3 sides. A great place as a base camp to daytrip further north. We stayed here for 4 nights of a 12 day trip around the Ring Road. I would stay here again. Super spacious cabins for 2 people and the kitchens have every available gadget you would want – great for really cooking!

10’ away from Akureyri and next to the Christmas House. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to make dinner. The was a hot tub with geothermal water next to our cottage that we used at night. Water was quite hot (40°C)

Clean, and very well stocked. The host was super nice and considerate. She went out of her way several times to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Stunning views! She even has a salt lamp with a lighter along with candles to create the mood. Their dog was very friendly and adorable.

Really lovely stay hosted by Kristin. Communication was superb and it was a pleasure staying in our self contained accommodation. Plenty to see and do in the location and our three days flew by. Highly recommend Silva holiday home and we will surely return one day!

Owners are very friendly. View to mountains from the house was beautiful. Perfect place to spend time even in rainy day. Easy access to main places of north Iceland by car.

Beautiful location, clean and tidy, well-equipped and comfortable. Friendly owner. We were going to camp tomorrow but saw the weather warning and asked if we could stay another night (unfortunately it’s full for tomorrow!)

Our host was extremely attentive and very helpful. The view from the property was amazing and cabin was cute and well furnished and the hot tub was wonderful! The lights on the property are a nice touch!

The kitchen is small and there are not a lot of pots and pans but we still managed to cook dinner with no real problems.

Of many places I’ve been to all over the world, this farm home stay was one of the best! Highly recommended! Home stay for very reasonable price and perfect breakfast. It has four wooden houses, each is a good-size house with big living room and fully-equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms. Each house has a private parking and isolated outside terrace with BBQ. Sleeping and stay there were very comfortable. Separately I should tell about the breakfast. It worth every cent we paid for it. Homemade smoothie, fruits – strawberries, mango, pineapple, vegetables, caviar, breads, salmon, cheese selection, ham, sausage, very good coffee, different joghurts, eggs etc – and many other meals – very wide selection! The house owner Kristine asked me in after check in if we have any preferences in food of any food allergies or intolerance. The territory has facilities for kids (football), horses; there are many toys which our kids enjoyed playing with. The surrounding area and Akureyri are very green and beautiful. If I knew that better, I would stay in that house and explore that area longer definitely!
