Very pretty, clean, modern, spacious, excellent breakfast and great facilities. The museum was great too.

Unfortunately we couldn’t use the steam room because it was under maintenance.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff were excellent with a real professional approach. The outdoor pool was great.

Not that it was a problem but the hotel is about 10km from Aveiro so you will need to book a cab if not driving.

Great location and nice decorations with one friendly staff member in the breakfast restaurant.

No welcoming feeling, staff seems to be busy with themselves. From check in to our check out there was no spontaneous interaction with the staff. I had to go to the hospital and my husband went to the reception to ask for help; first he was given an address of a pharmacy and after insisting another receptionist helped and gave him the address of a hospital. No one even bothered to even help nor did they showed any affection. No one greets you when you enter or leave the building, even when you cross a staff member they seems to be afraid to greet you, room cleaning takes until late in the afternoon, cleaning itself seems to be a rushing exercise because our room was at the end of the hallway, there were time slots for breakfast that no one seems to understand, the pool was like a noisy playground for kids in a all-in resort, only ordering at the pool bar no orders were take at the tables our pool chairs, noice of the bridge when cars drove over it so you could not sleep with door open or having a proper phone call with doors open. Over all no 5 star experience in this hotel.

We really appreciated the tranquility and the privileged location of the hotel, the area around Ilhavo is really interesting to discover in addition to Aveiro. The association of Montebello and Vista Alegre results in high quality infrastructure and design (fantastic outdoor and indoor swimming pool, excellent and refined decoration etc.).

The hotel has some weaknesses with regard to the five star qualification. First of all at the level of the staff, the hospitality and the quality of service is often not acceptable (young and poorly trained). In addition, some points are quite harmful on a daily basis, such as poor wifi or unstable water temperatures in the shower.
