Its a small hotel with lovely traditional decor. We had the large double room which had a huge double open window overlooking the beautiful lake views. We walked around the local area in the evening and had stunning views of the lake. The restaurant serves a variety of foods and a large wine/drink selection.

Staff: The hotel appears to run with just one or two staff members covering reception the bar and housekeeping. The interactions with front of house staff were very rushed as they were so busy. We were also rushed off the phone when we rang ahead of our stay. Location/transfers: The location is very remote and the hotel doesn’t provide any transport or transfers. We arrived late afternoon and were stranded at the local train station Dorio which is a 30/45min walk up hill to the hotel. We had lots of luggage and when we rang the hotel reception we were told that there was no help for transport. Luckily we eventually got a local taxi number (who answered after 5 tries). Thankfully another local hotel owner (the bar and B&B where you buy your tickets at Dorio station) booked our return transfer for us which was such a blessing otherwise we had no clue how we would have got our luggage back to the station.

The hospitality of the owner and the employees is super. They are very helpful and explained us where to find the nice hidden beaches. The room is very nice. We had a room with a huge balcony we used to end each day with a local beer we got from the bar. The breakfast is super forschte piece. Fresh bread and fresh orange juice, ham, eggs and good coffee. All we wanted and more it offers a good view of the lake. The hotel is located in a quiet area at night. During day there might’ve Construction going on but that did not bother us since we wanted to explore the region and not stay in the hotel during day. Also very nice are the big parking spaces. No problem to find an empty space and big enough to park even our big SUV.

Room was wonderfully quirky like the hotel overall. Staff were very nice and helpful in all matters. The restaurant served us a delicious meal of sea bass, not the cheapest but worth it.

Nothing, it was absolutely fine

The staff was quite friendly. We went for dinner at the restaurant there and the food was very tasty there.

The location is not great, since only reachable by car and there is nothing within walking distance. There is no air conditioner as indicated in the property info, but one loud ceiling fan, which kept us awake all night and didn’t help much in that heat. The bed wasn’t comfortable either, so we woke up with a backache. There are some constructions happening right in the front hotel, so we were woken up by it. Restaurant: Even though staff is trying to be friendly they are understaffed in the restaurant area, and it took a long to get the order.

One of the most beautiful and detailed hotel and room I’ve ever seen . Amazing staff and service which made our road trip so much more enjoyable. Because of such places we love to drive around Italy . Well done to the family designers and friendly service . 100% recommended .

This accommodation is like a romantic dream from the 19th. The environment and the view are amazing. Every room has its own atmosphere. The view from the restaurant is also gorgeous. The foods were excellent quality, fresh, varied, and most of them are local. The staff is nice and helpful.

The staff Werteskalen fantastic, the owner is a real sweetheart and treated me like a dear friend. The property is set upon the lake and the surrounding as well as the hotel itself are just purely gorgeous. Spotlessly clean. Even the cleaning ladies were so lovely.. The food and wine in the Restaurant are excellent. I spent the best weekend ever. Thank you so much for everything..

Gorgeous and magical location on the lake! The room (lake view) was stunning and beautifully decorated. It was really cosy, we slept so well. We loved that restaurant was on site and the food was delicious. Breakfast was really good.
