Tasteful, decorated with finesse and aesthetic fingertip feeling. Well organized and with a warm and personal family feel. And of cource… the breakfast!

Would personally recommend the air conditioned rooms (if you can afford it).

This is a fantastic BnB, well located a 20 minute walk out of town, quiet and peaceful with a lovely deck looking out on the water. There’s a well equipped kitchen, great & well maintained social areas (hammocks, board games etc), comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms with hot water. What makes the property really special though is Marco and the team. They gave us the friendliest welcome we’ve had travelling south/Central America, cooked us delicious breakfasts and were generally very friendly and helpful.

The fan in our room was a bit loud, but we were cool enough (some other rooms have A/C).

Marco and the staff were super welcoming and the breakfast was amazing! The decor was super cool and the whole experience was very relaxing.

Barrbra BnB is a FABULOUS place to stay. Absolutely loved it! I stayed in 5 places in Bocas and it was my favorite place in Bocas. 1. Very stylish decor with great artwork, colorful, etc 2. Very comfy hammocks and places to sit by the water 3. Breakfast was outstanding 4. The owner, Marco, knows how to make guests feel welcome - he explains the essential things you need to know about the hotel - honestly, the guy could give lessons to other hotels on customer service and how to welcome guests. 5. There's a kitchen for guests to use 6. The WiFi is exceptionally fast - I was able to download photos quickly and work easily. 7. The hotel has lots of travel info posted and on its website- where to eat, what beaches to go to, etc. and Marco will help you buy your bus ticket to other places around Panama and help you book tours. 8. I love the location on Saigon Bay - really relaxing and quiet - you can also swim and kayak in the bay 9. Love the vibe of the place - warm, welcoming, relaxing 10. Everything is so well-organized - you can buy drinks and snacks and prices are clearly marked and prices are not too expensive.

This is not a complaint but some advice for future guests - put on mosquito repellent - you're on the water and there are lots of mosquitoes.

This place is just perfect! We enjoyed a really heartwarming time in Marcos place which felt like home. If you are lucky you can spot different kinds of fish directly at the terrace. The breakfast was amazing like everything else.

Everything was great, from unlimited coffee during the fantastic breakfast over hot shower in the evening! I could point out small details (aircon, fridge, kitchen, sea view etc.), but mainly it is the cozy atmosphere and the really friendly team, that made our stay so enjoyable. Thanks to Marco and his local & canadian team!

We loved everything about Barrbra. Marco and his staff are amazing. They were friendly all the time, always asking if we needed anything. The breakfast is generous and delicious. The hotel has a beautiful view to watch the sunset. It has a pier where we saw starfish, fish, rays, among others. There is also a fridge with well priced beers and you can kayak from the dock. I highly recommend this place.

The shower is a bit exposed to the weather.

I loved so many things about BarrBra: the breakfast, the views, the location, the outside shower, the dogs, the comfortable mattress ... We were very unlucky with the weather, but I can imagine that chilling on this deck with a little beer in the sun would have been the best spot in the whole of Bocas. I would recommend this place for sure, especially because it allows for a nice walk to the quiet part of the island after a good party!

It would have been nice if we could fill our water bottles for free.

From the moment we arrived, Marco made us feel very welcome at his home. The BnB is a quiet little paradise, hidden away at the waterfront. A beautiful place to relax. Marco loves being a host and does it with flair! He will arrange everything you need. There is a delicious breakfast included and an extensive trusted bar. We absolutely loved it here!

The only "downside" of the BnB is that it's a bit far away from the main town and it's restaurants. At the same time, that's what makes it so charming and relaxing. The BnB offers a well equipped kitchen and the supermarket is close by. To eat out we recommend La Fonda El Fruta de pan, an authentic Panamanian restaurant with delicious food!

Marco is such a nice host - breakfast is amazing with coffee as much as you like <3 the place itself is super quiet with beautiful on the sea. the deck is equipped with sun beds, hammocks, swings etc. and invites to just hangout and relax. Marco was offering to join on a trip to a lonely beach - we had a auch a wonderful day.

Marco & his staff were top notch, helpful in every way, met wonderful people staying there, loved the outdoor shower, the evenings on the deck were lovely with drinks & conversation, felt like part of the family, people loved the local tours, don't let the walkway entrance dissuade you, a real gem here, peaceful, quiet, wonderful breeze in the evening, we loved Marco's determination to provide a great stay & nice conversations, Marco can make it happen!

it was a pleasure to be there. Marco is detail-obsessed to perfection and this can be seen everywhere on the property. I wished had more days to spend there.

Everything was so wonderful from the moment we arrived at the door. Marco sang us a song and was incredibly friendly and funny. Almost immediately after settling into our room we knew we were going to want to extend our stay. And OMG the pancakes... Wow. best ever! We loved the convenience of the honor system and how chill the vibe was here. This was our favorite stay out of 13 accommodations during our trip. Oh, and it's right on the water and you can easily rent kayaks and snorkel gear right at the spot - like c'mon :-) such a lovely place, I still think of those days often and would love to return!

By no means is this fault of the property/owner but some of the area (locals) around the property could do with a little cleaning up of trash.. Would not stop me from going though!

Quiet laid back atmosphere.

A bit of a walk from town. However, taxis are easy to get.

Host Marco is amazingly nice and helpful, the sweetest! You really feel at home and can wind down and do what ever you feel like. Met some really nice people but it never felt like you “had” to socialise if you didn’t want to. Location great if you don’t want to be smack in the middle of Bocas town- you can walk there in 20 minutes or take a taxi (if you find one). Had the best time!

Marco and the others were great! So nice and welcoming. Also really liked the cats and dogs. The view is very nice, you wake up in a little paradise everyday, you can even see more starfish from the deck than you will see at starfish beach :)

It’s not in the middle of the center, just rent a bike and you’ll be at the bars and restaurants in less than five minutes.

Everything! We stayed over Christmas and had the nicest time. Marco is so kind and helpful. Loved the whole property! So many nice places to sit and relax. Beautifully decorated and the whole place is really nicely thought out. We saw dolphins and an eagle ray from the decking! Excellent breakfast. Added bonus - Chester, Lu Lu, Gato and Ja Ja are super cute. Only regret is not staying longer!

Marco and Ang were the best hosts, from the moment we knocked on the door Marco greeted us like long lost friends. he immediately let us enjoy the sunset on the deck (which is amazing in the cove the BnB is located) with a beer on the house. it was EXQUISITE. the beds are super comfy and the room is a chilled costal BnB room with five star attention to detail (bedside lamps, hooks, a safe etc). the outdoor shower is with warm water, has a fantastic view (especially if you save water and shower with your companion) and the organic soap that is provided smells divine and doesn’t hurt the environment (including the star fish, sting rays and dolphins you can see from the deck). we loved this place SO MUCH we asked to stay another night. oh and the trusted Barr - amazing touch to make guests feel right at home and not an inconvenience to the staff if they ask for xyz at all hours of their stay. last but not least the breakfast - holy smokes.after a month and a half of travelling this was the best breakfast we have had. choccie pancakes a must. we were so touched when angie got up early on our last day to make us breakfast before we left to catch an 8am boat.

nothing! for the less open minded traveller, you get mosquitos and this place is on an island so things may not be as on demand as the comforts of your fancy home in the USA or somewhere - but that’s the point! sit back and enjoy!

Marco and his staff were incredible. We felt like visiting belowed family member... The breakfests were delicius. And the place has a really positive wibe. We will be returning for sure!!!

Jumping on the 10/10 reviews parade, I can vouch that Barrbra is AMAZING ❤️ Marco is very hospitable, the place is tastefully decorated and the house is just good vibes, peace and love. The “trusted barr” (where you can just grab sodas, homemade ice creams etc. and note it down on a chalkboard) is a sweet touch. Lester, one of the adorable dogs who lives here, was a highlight: watching him play in the water and run around the deck would make your day.
