Age of hotel

The location was central to the main plaza (about two blocks down and one block over). The AC worked well. There is a nice, central garden and the small pool goes to a depth of 2.5 meters. The hotel is kept clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's very safe.

It is a little out-dated, but that was fine with us. The pictures of the exterior might make you believe it was built in the last 10 years. The hotel was actually built in the late 60s or early 70s. The bathroom is somewhat tight. The WIFI is very unreliable. Also, the breakfast is definitively 'continental'. Some pictures they've posted might make you believe it contains protein. That's not the case. It's toast, coffee, juice or a plate of sliced fruit, and cold cereal with milk. There is a small produce and flowers market a block away that offers simple breakfasts if that's what you'd prefer.

Price...that's it...

Breakfast was "included" but they gave us 1/5 of bananas and some classic cereal. That's it. Basically we had to have breakfast in another place. So we pay it for nothing. They said us that we could change money (euros pesos) only the day after, so we waited and the day after they said they couldn't do it anymore. (We could plan in another way if they had told us in advance). No professional at all.... Air conditioner in the room too cold. No possibility to adjust the temperature. Inside was freezing and outside there were 40° (104° F).

Nothing, nothing at all. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in all my years of traveling. Organized thieves, the whole staff. Police should investigate.

They could have not broken into my suitcase and stole my money. I'm not alone, read the other reviews. I count 7 cases of stealing from the rooms.

It's very clean and the staff are friendly. There is a swimming pool in the yard. The garden inside the hotel is very nice.

All the facilities are really really old! No staff speaks English. The price is not that good with regard to the facilities. The breakfast should pay extra beyond the price of room, which includes toast, jam, coffee without milk.

Money was stolen from a suitcase in a locked room. There was no manager to speak to. The local police came and confirmed this. Reception team very unhelpful. Still no reply after sending by email comments.Police said security cameras could be checked. Nothing was done by hotel to help or investigate. There is a security problem there. On looking further back on Trip Advisor pre pandemic there was money stolen from a room at this hotel.

It was 10 min walk from ADO station and walking distance to the historical center and many wonderful restaurants and coffee places. Merida was very safe, friendly staff who also arranged the taxi to the airport for us. The internet in the room was good. We have the view over the city. There was air-conditioning and hot water. Comfy beds.

not far from the bus station, nice rooms, fair shower. great view from the upper rooms.

Have about 15 spots around each leg because of all the mosquitos, itching was driving my nuts - no idea where they were coming from! lift was a little ropey. No plug by the bed.

Customer service. Not friendly, I forget my ID in rexeption, didnt received a call or avise. I have to go s3veral days after I lea e. I have to ask for it

Location - very closed to the center

Rude staff - person at front desk looked upset when I asked for an extra towel which I needed bc they didn’t have small sink towels . Also, when showering water leaked to the toilet section , it was so messy, and the floor was sooo sleepy and wet even worse, I almost felt a couple of times. Breakfast was not as good either . The pictures they have are deceiving.

property is in a great location! In the heart of town center. There is so much sight seeing nearby and many variety of restaurants around as well, all at walking distance from hotel.

Bed was stiff , and only had two tiny pillows . we asked for extra pillows but we never heard back from concierge. asked again the following day and nothing was done.

there was no Wi-Fi in the room. you had to go in the garden to get signal

really old, need urgent refurbishment. for 50€/night in Merida we were waiting much more. no internet at all. breakfast room dated and not much option
