Bathroom in room out of order The area around the hotel seems not very lively Very high fees when checking in or out too late. They send you a message warning you about it creating an uneasy/stressful feeling, even if you did not come or leave too late.

Central location and large rooms, staff were really lovely

The general cleanliness was a little low. Also the bathrooms and showers were very far away from our room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cosy Zen Hostel. The room was spacious, decorated in Japanese style and had a wonderful view over Yudanaka. The toilets and showers were clean at all times. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book a private onsen and we were able to rent skis and ski clothes directly from them at the hostel. This was easy and cheap compared to other rentals. They also made sure that there was always a cosy fire burning in the fireplace in the common area when you came home from the cold. Thank you very much for a great time!

The place was at an ideal location, staff was nice. Helpful. Good value for money. You get all you expect from a tatami room for that price

Pretty traditional, the room was big and quiete confortable. The whole hotel is really enjoyable to be in.

The hotel is a bit old, but really just saying it in order to find a negative point.
