During my stay at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, I was absolutely thrilled by the fantastic experience it offered. This iconic establishment seamlessly combines luxury, history, and impeccable service. With a backdrop of the Gateway of India, my stay was truly unforgettable, leaving me with cherished memories. I was delighted to find that in addition to the chocolates and hand cream, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel thoughtfully provided complementary jasmine flowers and vases of other beautiful blooms in my room.

I must say, I liked everything about my stay at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. There was absolutely nothing I didn't like - it was a flawless experience from start to finish.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our hostess Urmi was so kind and nice! Will def be back.

Beautiful hotel, not old yet steeped in history, it was a pleasure to get to know it and my thanks to the wonderful staff. Food and drinks were excellent also. Well located also, with shopping nearby and transport options all conveniently nearby.

Ein sehr gutes Luxushotel in ausgezeichneter Lage. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Sehr geräumig und edel ausgestattet. Das Hotelpool ist ebenfalls ein Highlight.

Beim Checkin wurde zwar höflich, aber dennoch vehement versucht mir ein Upgrade in eine Junior-Suite zu verkaufen.

Breakfast was excellent in terms of the spread. The Indian filter coffee was underwhelming. The high tea in the afternoon was very good - however, the Sea lounge and in particular our table area was very cold due to being right below the A/c vents. Since we were celebrating my birthday, the staff gave us a surprise with a cake (because we had two rooms, they gave us 2 cakes which was a bit too much). The cake was delicious. Dinner at the Shamiana Restaurant was good (some dishes very good, others okay). The staff were very polite and helpful - so high marks for service.

* The hotel room temperature was set to 18°C - we immediately set it to 24°C. * The Concierge did not have great offers for a tour to the Elephanta caves. The private boat offer with a speed boat was a bit too expensive. The other option was to have a guide but buy all tickets etc. ourselves. Finally, I booked a tour online from GetYourGuide which worked well. * After we checked in at 12 noon, we were unable to reserve a table for us at the Lebanese as well as the Chinese restaurants - which was somewhat disappointing. * After our dinner, the server forced 4 scoops of ice cream on us even though we said we did not want it.

The ambience is a dream. The staff is very friendly. Our every wish was fulfilled. Unfortunately we were only allowed to stay one night because we were on an Ultimate World cruise. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Unfortunately, we slept next to a supply room and a fan kept us awake half the night.

Iconic hotel, filled with history old world charm, and all the details of exotic India, that we love and cherish. Fantastic floral displays, well appointed rooms that look to be recently remodeled, an excellent Moroccan cuisine at the rooftop restaurant called.Souk.

For the handsome amount of money, I spent on a room for two nights, I would’ve expected there to be peace and quiet in the evening. However, both nights there was pounding vibrating, very loud, disco music emanating up from the ground floor to the third floor where we stayed. It was so loud that at 11:30 in the evening I called the duty manager and asked that they, figure out the source and put the kibosh on it. Neighbors next-door also extremely loud and noisy. To my chagrin, the next night was the same story. On top of that, the hotel was very busy, packed crowded, and difficult to walk through. It took me three hours to get my room registered because there was so many people, checking in and checking out. I’ve stayed here before, and it was always a grand and glorious experience. Now this time it made me feel less than enamored. I think I’ll save my money and stay elsewhere. Next time I visit Bombay.

Hospitality, shows the great Indian hospitality in its entirety. All people are treated the same, and the basis on what the hotel was built of treating people equally was a great foundation.

One cannot help but love this iconic hotel. Our room in the palace wing was spacious and very well appointed. Staff service is impeccable. Breakfast is outstanding, with a huge choice. Morning views over harbour were perfect. Garden area and pool delightful

Noise. I stayed in the Towers part where they were either testing the sound setup for functions, or hosting functions, which made my room tremble. I got shifted to another room - in itself a hassle - where the noise was somewhat less but the base tremble was still there. On top of that, there was a loud function at the Gateway of India - not just tourists etc (which is fine) but very loud music. I am not a very sensitive person to sound, or a light sleeper. But the experience was bad. On another note: staff means well but is extremely procedural and has to get through cumbersome IT systems. Printing a single A4 takes a minute and producing a bill takes two minutes. Both seem to require many many keyboard actions. Never seen it like that. Poor staff.
