We felt welcomed from the minute we walked in the door. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room and facilities clean and inviting. We walked the area and to Washington Park and never felt uncomfortable (however we were in the hotel before dark).

The aesthetic was on point. the room was the perfect size. The cafe is adorable and the food was decent. Staff was phenomenal.

Tv in the room was too small. I didn’t know my windows opened! I would have loved to know that before hand. Coffee was subpar at the cafe.

The room was very quaint, the shower was amazing. I slept like a baby each night

The whole rooms fuse blew a few times so we had to call the front desk to get it sorted out. it was a very quick fix and they were super kind about it, I just wish I didn’t have to do that in the first place

There was something going on with the heating system so it clanked every few seconds for a few minutes and then started again and again. Drove me crazy.

There were two bottles of water in the room that had a very bitter taste, I thought I would die poisoned😅

Great funky modern hotel, staff were great. Comfy bed. Reception is a cafe bar open 24hrs serving alcohol until 2am. Beautiful furnishings in cafe, reception & room.

Neighbourhood is dirty & lots of homeless people. I didn't get approached but felt uncomfortable.

Nicely done small hotel. Staff was super friendly and accomodating, they delievered cappucinos to our room in the morning. Rooms are a good size for a small downtown hotel. Great location, super walkable to everything.

I love the Art Deco vibe. The guy that was checking in and also running the coffee bar was friendly and offered a free drink from my stay which I accepted. Nice touch. Close and walking distance to everything; Powell's, Doc Martin's shopping restaurants. the waterfront.

Unfortunately there seems to be a homeless person on every block or so but that is not the hotel's fault. In my city as Seattle it is worse

Very welcome staff at front guest, good location when traveling by Amtrak.

In general, most hotel do not have room cleaning at day if just stay two night. I very appreciated room cleaning after I was back. But it is a shock if I make my room messy with all my stuff and the staff mistakenly throw off my steel fork. (I put it in a finished fruit plastic bowl, maybe he/she didn't notice it). In sum, better provide ”do not disturb" card for guest to hang in front of the door.

Probably the most comfortable stay we've ever had. Great layout of the room. Comfortable bed! Nice bathroom. Very nice and helpful staff. Great location, walked everywhere. We will definitely be back.

Friendliest hotel staff I've ever encountered! Available 24/7 and super quick to help you out with anything you need. Great looking and uniquely styled rooms. Insane value for what you get.

Given that it's an older building, it's not very sound proof. Because it's right smack in downtown expect to hear cars, sirens, etc. Also when people walk up and down the stairs you'll probably hear it. This is something that I can tune out pretty easily and don't mind much, but each person is different.

Not in a nice area of the city. Many, many, homeless nearby. Streets near hotel actually smelled like urine.

Portland is not the city it used to be! Location used to be one of the nicest parts of town ...now infested with homeless camps and prostitutes very unsafe feeling. Room very tiny tv sound wouldn't work,bathroom door handle fell off when opening it, the blinds were broken and wouldn't close staff wouldn't fix it so had to sleep with window open to the public. They don't even offer coffee in the morning without it seeming to be a hassle to have them make it. No ice available,, pretty much no amenities at all. Couldn't even get a receipt as printer was out of paper!
