I booked this for my husbands parents to come and visit us but unfortunately a week before their arrival they had a catastrophic house fire and lost everything. They had to get emergancy passports so touch and go whether they would make it but they did and they were really in need of a comfortable base during their stay while they recovered from the shock. To arrive and find the very thoughtful owner had left a selection of essentials was a godsend ; teabags, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and a lovely bottle of cider plus lots of other useful bits fairy liquid etc etc. really made a difference and as they were unable to bring them from home saved them a lot of hassle. The heating was turned on before their arrival so it was beautiful and warm after their long journey from France. Really comfortable and a lovely log fire plus heating. Parking by the front door ( which is behind the house so very private) and a little patio which on nice days would be good. Very comfortable beds and basically a nice little home from home with everything - books, games, nice shower, good location very quite but in a village close to lots of other places like Yeovil and Crewkerne which is a gorgeous town. Crewkerne has a Waitrose, banks, restaurants, pubs, butcher, bakers, hardware, eveything you could need or go to Yeovil and that is a big town with every amenity you could need. Will 100% be rebooking in the future!

Nothing it was lovely. Really hard to find fault even though I have rattled my brain it would be very unjust to mention anything because it was delightful.

Well equipped kitchen. Handy to have an iron & ironing board. Lovely touch to have biscuits, apple juice & milk waiting for us.

Kay the owner had left the door open for us to enter as she is only next door & came round to check we were settling in very quickly. The property was very nice and everything we could have asked for

Location was quiet and super cool. We all loved staying there and I would like to specially mention about the host. She was very kind and friendly. Definitely recommendable👍👌🏻

Our second time staying here. Convenient, quiet location. Comfortable snug cottage. Amenable host. Lovely place to stay.

Location was great. Surrounded by plenty of fields and orchards for morning walks. About 15 miles from West Bay for excellent beach walks. Really enjoyed the family history of the house. Little park nearby for children. Attended a lovely little church (Bible Christian Centre) for a much-needed spiritual boost. Great hospitality provided as well. Lovely family. Cooked a few ‘fallers’ into apple sauce. Enjoyed the log burner! Very warm house. Definitely want to go back!

Road was a little busy. Variable mobile phone reception, but WiFi great.
