Gorgeous guesthouse/b&b. Lovely spacious room with ensuite. Small couch in room which was great to have somewhere to sit. The views from the room were fantastic.... Grisedale pike and surrounding fells that I'd waked thar day. Also Skiddaw to the side window. Breakfast was wonderful.... huge but wonderful and I didn't have any fruit, cereal or porridge. Toiletries in bathroom and plenty towels.

The only fault was finding the place but turns out the sign had ben taken down for cleaning and the main road is noisy until late with cars whizzing by but nothing that they can do about that.

The host at claremont house went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, homemade cakes and cups of tea and coffee were given upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with the host even making homemade bread buns(which were delicious) i stayed with my two children aged 16 and 14 and we would definitely choose claremont House for a future trip to keswickx

Breakfast was excellent, a very good portion and high standard daily. Sarah went out of her way for my daughter to provide breakfast and extra treats as she is gluten free. Appreciated

Claremont House is a beautiful building and the views are stunning.

most definitely the host from the moment we stepped out the car Sarah was warm friendly and welcoming and the freshly cooked warm lemon shortbread on arrival was just delicious, bed was comfortable and breakfast was perfect.

Host: Sarah was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast: Generous home cooked breakfast. Parking: Was great having on-site parking.

Room provided was a bit small for a travelling couple with large suitcases. Host was able to provide a bigger room for the last night of our stay.
