Great location close to the beach, Cedar Shack was a perfect cosy winter getaway

We celebrated the New Year enjoying this space. The location and set up was perfect for surfing, the kitchen was very well setup to make and overall it was get space! Would definitely refer!

Just what we were looking for. Stayed over Xmas and it was windy and rainy and perfect for storm watching. Had one day of no rain and even a bit of blue sky for a great cycle into Tofino and a stop for coffee. Cottage had everything we needed including a really comfy bed.

Great location with a very short walk across the road to Chesterman beach. House is very clean and well stocked. Easy to cook in, hot tub is private and right out the door from the one bedroom. Fireplace in the living room is so nice to relax by and the skylights add lots of natural light. Property is so nice and well maintained, they have a luggage wagon to bring your bags from the parking spot to the cabin in the back of the property over a short walk on a rock path. They have it well lit so at night it’s easy to see coming and going.

This is a really lovely, cosy property hidden away near one of the most beautiful beaches in Tofino. I loved being able to get there in one minute! The cabin has everything you need, including just about anything you can think of in the bathroom, plus a fully fitted out kitchen and washer and tumble dryer too. Hot tub was lovely and perfect for stargazing. It was extremely peaceful and a short drive into Tofino and all the little walks around. Entry instructions very simple and easy communication with hosts before arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.

This. Is. IT. We are seasoned travelers and this cottage is one of the Very BEST places we've ever visited. It's charm, location and amenities match everything Tofino. You'll be impressed by proximity to the best beaches, cleanliness and comfort, ease of cooking, relaxing, bathing and socializing. Large indoor and outdoor hang out areas. Starry skies in the hot tub. They created amazing privacy and beauty all around. The hosts are kind and responsive, too!

Easy to find. Convenient parking spot. Walking up to the shack is very charming. Like an English secret garden. The cottage is clean and has everything you need to make your stay lovely. The hosts are very organized and they have thought of everything. The rooms are lovely and well decorated. It has a west coast vibe for sure. The deck out front and out back provide loads of seating in such a private setting. The bathroom is lovely and again the amenities are all there if you need them. The hot tub is fabulous and in such a lush green and private area. Big towels were provided. Birds and squirrels kept us company as we soaked out troubles away. The outdoor shower was perfect!! The kitchen has it all and plenty of space to create meals. This property is almost across the street from the beach access so getting to the beach is easy and the host provides a wagon to help you cart your things to and from the beach. This was our 25th wedding anniversary get away and we couldn’t be more happy about our time at the Cedar Shack Cottage. We will be back. Thank you 🙏

This a very clean and comfortable cottage in a quiet location a one minute walk from the beach. There was however, intermittent noise from a construction project at the back of the property.

Wonderful accommodations in a peaceful surrounding.

I just needed a few days away from the city, and the cedar shack was a perfect place to chill. Situated a very short walk (3 minutes) from the beautiful Chesterman beach, the accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, hot tub, and a large BBQ., two bedrooms, and a large bathroom with a deep tub. Everything you need to be self-sufficient or quick drive into Tofino when you do not feel like making your own meal. Situated behind the owner's residence, you have complete privacy, and is very quiet, except for that one frog that serenaded my nightly hot tub after rainy beach walks. It is not fancy, but comfortable and spacious enough for 4 adults. You definitely cannot beat the quick access to the beach. Barbara was very nice and offered assistance with anything I may need during. The self-check in was simple, and the accommodation was ready on my arrival.

We had the best family vacation ever! Cedar cottage was in the perfect location as it was just a short walk to the beach to surf. We found the cottage to be welcoming, private & very clean. The fireplace made sure that it was warm & cozy. The hot tub was a bonus after surfing! We will be back!

We were so happy to finally stay at the Cedar Shack. It was just perfect for our little family. The location to the beach was fantastic. Our toddler loved playing in the sand and watching all the dogs run!

Wife’s 42nd birthday, Our friends flew in and decorated the cabin before our arrival. The cabin was quaint and warm. Perfect location as we could hear the waves crash the shore from the patio and hot tub. Daniel and Barbara are great hosts and the cabin was stocked.

Unforgettable beauty! Thanks to Barbara and Daniel for sharing their paradise with us. 2 minute walk to Chesterman beach, private, well-maintained hot-tub, and the cabin was so pristine. Everything you could ask for in the kitchen (dishes, spices, coffee, etc.). We will be back in the future 100%!!

Relaxing stay

My husband and I spent our 20th wedding anniversary at this cottage and it was Splendid. The owners really think of everything. It’s such a cozy place. And the short walk to Chesterman Beach seals the deal.

We had a great weekend in October. The place was very clean. Probably the best stocked kitchen at any rental that I have been to. The hot tub was perfect. Thanks!

When I say short walk, it takes literally two minutes to walk to Chesterman Beach! It's the next best thing to being right on the beach. The Cedar shack was very comfortable and clean, the bedding was nice and soft! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a great meal. The knives are sharp which is always appreciated! It was nice and quiet as well. The hot tub was a huge plus at this property. If you have been to Tofino you know that it can get a little cool. We really appreciated being able to warm up in the hot tub in the morning and at the end of the day. Barbara was very quick to communicate with any questions we had or anything else we needed. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would stay again.

The property was perfect for a much needed get away. Even though the host's main house is on the property, you have complete privacy and do not even know they are there. They were however available when needed. The home was immaculate and well and fully stocked. Not having to bring your own beach towels was a nice touch as was the outdoor shower. The deck out the back was a great place to relax at the end of the busy day and the hot tub was well used. The beach is a short walk from the home. Thank you again for opening your home.

A great stay for our Easter/birthday getaway. The beach is just across the street and the accommodation was even better than advertised. Loved the hot tub and deck. Even when windy on the beach, it was sunny and warm on the deck! Barbara even left some Easter treats for our kids. Great hospitality!
