We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Bay Cottage. Our host was very gracious and thoughtful.

These cottages are special because they allow access to an otherwise private beach and are separate units from each other and away from the main part of town. There is a kitchen with everything you would ever need-just about. We were set up for a morning success with coffee, juice, pancake mix and syrup. The owner is a nice and thorough individual who will show you around so you know the amenities and how to use them.

Our stay was truly relaxing that I find it hard to complain too much. There are some things we had to ignore and just accept as part of the rental of a rustic cottage. We mostly just wanted screens covering the window openings so we could let air into the unit without getting any insect visitors. There were some innocent daddy-long-leg spiders we had to either evict or make peace with as house mates.

The shower is to small and the shower head is in the middle of the shower. They should make the closet the shower and the shower the closet. No room to turn around if you're taller than 5'6. But this would not stop me from coming again. Just don't drop the soap, You will have to get out of the shower to then bend down to pick it up.

Ed is a charming and accomodating host. The location is quiet and convenient. The place is very simple and quaint...

Location , location, location. It is right on the beach. The owner, Ed is a very pleasant man and the property is well cared for.

The Rooms are arranged weirdly. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the single. There is a decided list to the place. The dining room lists towards the sound and the bedroom to the side of the hill. There are windows that don't open easily and they have no screens. The neighbor to the left of the place is very rude. She started power washing at seven am and then harangued my autistic grandson because he overstepped onto her beach. It really upset him and her threats of calling the sheriff bothered him for the rest of the weekend. She is a bully, plain and simple. I don't know how Ed deals with her.

Multiple . Dear friend Ed first of all . The location . The quaint peaceful setting . The view of the mountains is gorgeous ! You get it all here .

Ed the host was so kind and informative. He provided fresher baked cookies, fruit, orange juice, & maple syrup! he was very helpful with recommendations the therapist area. Loved the location right on. the beach, and the bath tub! A very cute cottage perfect for a weekend getaway. it was center to most activists that I wanted to do in the area which was perfect! There was a beautiful garden and community patio, with a BBQ.

Parking was a little tricky, but not too bad. Found a few spiders and webs in the corners. (I hate spiders, so not my favorite)

Great location on the bay with beach access and beautiful views of mountains and sunset. The large patio was comfortable and had a fire pit. The cottage had everything we needed including a well-equipped kitchen.

Very beautiful location right on Discovery Bay with access to the beach. Great patio view of the Olympic peaks in a lovely garden area. Owner was helpful, informative, friendly. I took a weekend workshop at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking and the drive there was easy and close.

The host Ed was very helpful and informative. The view, quiet, location, fresh air were unmatched. Simply lovely to have spent time there!

The Bay Cottage access to the beach was great, and it's not Ed's fault but the neighbors are picky about who can walk on "their beach".

Ed our host was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed talking with him . He lives in the cottage above the one we rented but you'd hardly know he's there. The views from the cottage are spectacular overlooking a bay and it has a nice patio to sit out on ( shared with the two other cottages.) The property was full of flowers and interesting decorations. Our place was quaint with an small kitchen, bathroom with shower, a queen bed in one room and a sofa bed and a couch in the main room. There is a private beach to walk on. All the decorations and personal welcome letter and freshly baked cookies made us feel like home away from home. Thank you ED for your hospitality ! We will definitely remember this stay :)

Parking was a little tight because of where it is but it is worth it!

The location and view of the bed and breakfast were perfect. We could only stay two nights but we would definitely stay again if we are able to make it back over! The host was also very enthusiastic and you can tell he loves greeting and talking with his guests.

The only thing is that it was hot during the day when we stayed (no AC), but I'm sure outside of the summers in Washington the weather in the bed and breakfast is fine!

Ed, the host, was exceptionally gracious. Everything was perfect, comfortable, clean, quaint, all the amenities you need to have a great stay. Ed thought of everything to make sure his guests are welcomed warmly from homemade cookies, sherry, and a few breakfast essentials. The beach access and beach were fantastic and Ed made sure we knew where we could hose off the littles and that we had access to the shared patio with grill, picnic tables and view. The view from our cottage porch was great too and we spent half our time in the house outside on those chairs. Everything was great! Will be returning!! P.S. My son wanted to stay “for a hundred years” and didn’t want to come home.

Cozy cottage nestled in pines and flowers, overlooking Discovery Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Walked on the sandy beach every morning. Kitchen fully equipped for meals at “home.” Kind and attentive inn/owner provided coffee, pancake mix, syrup, and orange juice,as well as a bouquet of beautiful flowers from his garden. Great location to see mountains, hike, whale watch, or simply relax.

It really could have used screened doors to let the breeze in better. Only a couple of the windows opened, and only a few inches.

The view of the bay, while lounging on the covered porch, was spectacular! The owner has a beautiful garden , rich with butterflies, and humming birds to frame the view as well! Ed was a wonderful host! There were cookies and fruit, along with fresh cut flowers at the cottage to greet us. Its was well stocked with anything you might need. A gathering place with a fire pit, and a quick walk down some stairs to a private beach! We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again soon!

The cottage is older, and a bit dated, but quaint.

This place is magical. We arrived late at night and Ed, the proprietor was there to greet us. The bed is incredibly comfortable and we woke up to nothing but silence and some sweet chirping birds. I’ve never slept so well. The patio is a perfect place to sit and read and watch the tide come and go, and the beach is down a short flight of stairs if you feel like taking a walk.

There’s nothing to not like about this wonderful place.

Wonderful host making you feel right at home. Cabin had many details that made the stay special, i.e. flower, fresh cookies, plenty of towels, warm blankets.
