This is a well-stocked, comfy, cozy home a 5-10 minute walk down to a beautiful beach. For three of us staying two nights and just wanting to hang out, it was perfect. The fireplace worked great; the kitchen had pretty much all we needed to make some breakfast; WiFi was easy; the beds were pretty comfy; there were cards and games and puzzles (it was rainy!). The yard was beautiful and I wish the weather had been better so we could've enjoyed it.

Bedrooms and corridor have old carpets with an odor. Bed was uncomfortable. A set of window drapes looked like they had been wet from a leak and were starting to grow mold. Outdoor table cover was torn in several places and table needed to be cleaned before use. The rear yard it overlooked was uncared for. On Saturday a nearby party venue played loud music until 10pm. Some effort has been made to make living area comfortable, and although the house has some charm it is teetering on the brink of being unacceptable. It needs more attentive maintenance but even better, updating.

It was well stocked with coffee maker and extra blankets which were newer but there is outdoor furniture for a dining table. the bedrooms have older carpet and are a bit musty. it was pretty well cleaned though a few cobwebs in corners. I actually did not mind the oldness of the house but just was not prepared based on the other reviews. All the legal papers after the purchase was a bit strange as well.

We just got home from 5 days away at this property in Cambria. I have stayed in Cambria numerous times, but always at one of the hotels on the ocean. We wanted something a little more private and down home. This was exactly that. The house is definitely a home and we felt comfortable having our dog there as well as spending a lot of time just chilling on the deck, wandering around the neighborhood, and enjoying being away. This house is older and has a long history of being a family retreat, as their guestbooks attest. It was exactly right. Thanks to the family that’s made it what it is.

We were visiting Cambria to take my daughters engagement photos and rented this house for the weekend. You always take a gamble when you are trying to stay within everyone’s budget, but this house was perfect. There were six adults and two dogs and we all had our own space which was nice. One bathroom was a challenge but we made it work! Also it was amazingly close to downtown Cambria we could have walked if we wanted to! Thank you to the Brocklebank family for sharing their home!

I've stayed in several 4 star properties that were much more updated and had better amenities. The home is in a good location. A little noisy with the Cal Fire station next door and quite a bit of every day traffic. Scenic Coast was great and responded quickly to a minor problem,,,,coffee maker died but we had a replacement at the house within hour. Wish they had a tv in the bedroom and the gas grill is on its last legs. Nice house and dog friendly.

The home is only a 10 min. walk to the beach and a short drive to lots of great activities and to the town center. The kitchen was fully stocked. We used the table on the deck for most of our meals. The home did smell a little musty as it probably hadn't been used in some time.

This little house was perfect for our needs. It's just a short walk to Moonstone beach, or a quick trip by car. Loved the fireplace for the colder nights. It was a really convenient place for our family. There were also a lot of puzzles and games and good Wifi, so we had all we needed on our vacation.

I rented this house for myself and my 2 boys. The neighborhood was perfect, quiet and residential. It is on the same street as Cal Fore, so I felt very safe! We met the neighbors, very friendly. It is a 10 minute walk to the West Village, we drove to the East. I cooked every morning and evening, and the kitchen was very well appointed. The property was spotless, too. The house is older, but I liked the charm. My only suggestion would be new mattresses and a few more hand towels. I would definitely come again!

We received a small gift bag upon arrival and appreciated that. But when we arrived at the house and there were no coffee filters for the coffee we were given. There was no bar soap, Kleenex or other small amenities. The oven did not work. The TV had 5 different remotes and was unworkable for us. The rugs were not very clean and a bath mat would have been nice. However, we loved Cambria and would like to come to the area again someday. It would be helpful if the description on the VRBO site had warned us of the lack of the amenities so we could have come prepared.
