They even mailed to my daughter some clothes she forgot at the house when we left. With that said, this is a beautiful home that is being allowed to fall into disrepair. Many of the windows was not operable, and without A/C, was an annoyance. The deadbolts on the exterior doors were also difficult to operate. The rot on the handrails of the second story deck was so deep the rails were no longer structurally sound. There was also some misc. debris and roof shingles littering the lot. A $1,000 bill and a handyman for 3 or 4 days could put this place back into shape.

There should be more maintenance done on this house, however. The window on the left side of the fireplace leaked badly during a Mountain rain storm. Several lightbulbs were out and we especially missed the one in the refrigerator that was out. A few repair and maintenance touches would make this outstanding stay. As is I would give 3-4 stars.

Stayed for a long weekend and went fishing on Grand Lake and Lake Granby. House was equipped with everything you needed, including kitchen items and bathroom essentials. Home had beautiful views of the mountains (and the recent burn area) and less than a 5 minute drive to RMNP and Grand Lake. We saw a mama moose and her baby at the end of the driveway, across the street. The long driveway was spacious enough for us to park our pontoon. You won't be disappointed! Hope to return in the future! Thank you.

We loved staying at Ryan’s Retreat! It was the perfect set up for our gathering. Super close to the lake but also up the mountain away from downtown. Very spacious spot!

We had a family reunion at Ryan’s retreat beginning March. The stay was awesome, we had everything we needed in this house. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, appliances and other stuff. Although we got our skillet to make eggs in the morning. I would suggest host to add more bath towels and warm blankets, since third floor is not that warm. Also I would suggest to add rugs in the bathrooms since the tile floor is cold in bathrooms. Make sure to get propane tank at the office ahead of time, so that you don’t have drive there when you are grilling. Overall we really liked our stay, the house is very nice and clean, views are awesome and can enjoy that from family room. Thank you for such a nice house!

We were able to get into the property early, which was a life saver as we arrived in Grand Lake several hours before the posted check in time. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. The bunk room was a little chilly so the staff brought us a space heater. The roads and driveway were plowed. The house was very clean and well stocked with essentials for cooking. We would definitely stay at this property again. The Mountain Market was well stocked with all the things we needed for 3 days of meals. We ate at the Sagebrush and the food was very good. We did a snowmobile guided tour through Grand Adventures that was awesome! We did a sleigh ride through Rocky Mountain Stables that was okay, but I would probably recommend finding a different place. We had 11 people in the house and it was very spacious and comfortable.

Be aware... there are no curtains/blinds in this house. Absolutely no privacy or way to keep the bright afternoon sun out. Even the window in the first floor bathroom shower is completely exposed. We felt like we were on display, especially at night with the lights on inside. Because of that, we won't rent this home again. Otherwise, it was a great place to be.

We had such a great stay. The check in process was easy and the house was clean and tucked away in a quiet area. We had everything we needed.

The property was perfect for our needs and our family stay. Location was perfect and beautiful scenery. I did have a little higher expectations for things needing attention. Many screens were torn primarily on patio doors, many light bulbs were out, the wall going from the bottom floor to the main floor was very dirty, the ceiling fan on the basement floor bedroom was broken and didn't work. The couch had a tear in the middle cushion. These are kind of little things, but if I'm going to be held accountable for any damages, I would hope these items would get repaired before the next person so he doesn't feel in secure about the damage deposit like I did. It is within a few minutes drive of Grand Lake Village and Rocky Mountain National Park but in a quiet area. We saw deer and moose. It is large with four bedrooms and four bathrooms so it suits a family or several couples. The lack of window coverings in the bedrooms and baths and some maintenance issues are a problem. There are lots of stairs.

I would recommend hiking to Adams Falls and continuing past the falls another mile or so. We did the hike with grandparents, and toddlers and had no problems. We saw several moose and deer along the way. I would recommend the property owners invest in some outdoor seating for the large deck off the great room. There were only three cheap plastic chairs and one was broken. It would have been nice to have a place to eat and gather outside. Grand Mountain Rentals was very easy to work with and we will rent from them again next time we are in the area.

There was a lovely central area (open kitchen/dining room/living room) that lent itself perfectly to conversation and gathering. Furthermore, the people at Grand Mountain Rentals were very pleasant and helpful. The ONLY downside was that there were a few repairs that needed to be done at the property (one fireplace not functional, large tub with jets didn't hold water so couldn't be used) which we found somewhat disappointing, but overall, a really nice experience. I would recommend this property.

Plenty of room for our family. It was great to have 4 bathrooms. Living room and loft was cozy and comfortable. Really the only complaint would be attention to detail. We had to call the property manager to get the pilot light going on the fireplace. The remote for a light and ceiling fan in one bedroom was inoperable. They did promptly take care of the fireplace but the the remote had to be ordered so there was very little light in the one bedroom. Unfortunately, the propane tank for the barbecue grill was empty which wasn’t discovered until we were preparing dinner and it was after hours so it couldn’t be remedied until the next day.

This is a lovely home for families. It has beautiful views and we even saw a doe elk about 100 feet from the property. The kitchen was better stocked with pots, pans, bowls and spices than we had expected. The large stainless fry pan worked well for cooking our crepes!

This wasn't the rental we booked, but we were amazed with the last minute upgrade due to unexpected events at the other cabin. The staff at Grand Mountain rental was wonderful by answering all the questions we had and helping us with anything we needed. Sometime things happen for a reason and we believe we hit the jackpot during this trip. The cabin was spacious and had all the right touches you'd want in a cabin in the woods. The decor was spot on with the abundance of wildlife in the area. We left the cabin very happy and glad things worked out the way they did. Thank you for making our summer vacation memorable and enjoyable!!
