meager choice of dishes for breakfast, very dark in the room, tea in the room was only upon arrival, new were not added. no iron in the room.

Bedrooms are superb. Best room I ever stayed in. Catering staff were superb also.

Check in staff were inept and couldn't seem to do a proper check in procedure for an international guest.

I don’t feel you get good value for money because the hotel didn’t live up to expectations. First, the interest was slow at times which made it difficult to Skype family back home. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and they didn’t once change the quilt and bedsheets. When you check in at the hotel the receptionist gives you your key card and with that is a coupon for 100 rmb for the SPA in the hotel. When I went to the SPA, I gave them the coupon asking for an Aromatherapy massage. They told me that there was a 15% service charge. Which I don’t think is right, considering they are already based in the hotel and the prices are high anyway! If they are going to give you a service charge, they should just include that in the price to save confusion and any nasty surprises! When I asked about being able to use the coupon, they told me no, because it’s under 700 rmb which it does not state that on the couple. Another nasty surprise! Luckily, I doubled checked that they accept Wechat payment as that is the norm now and most places you go to in China don’t like it when you give them RMB cash. Guess what, they don’t accept Wechat pay and credit card pay! I can half understand about not accepting credit card pay, but not Wechat when you consider everywhere else uses Wechat pay in China! In the end I had no choice but to leave as I didn’t have enough RMB on me. I understand that the SPA is independent from the hotel but as they are operating and advertising the SPA’s services in their hotel to the customers, they should be on top on the 15% service charge and the false advertising such as you have to spend over 700 rmb (it doesn’t say those things anywhere on the coupon)! Which is very unprofessional!

The room is spacious. The hotel is located near Wanda Square, home to many restaurants. The staff in lobby is very helpful when I ask where we can keep our bycecles. The breakfast is nice.

The reception couldn't find my reservation at the beginning.

Staff don't speak english very well, except for Mr. Bobby, a waiter working at breakfast restaurant.
