The room was excellent, staff friendly.
The breakfast was a failure. I asked for smoke salmon, waited 5 minutes before I was told they didn't have any and said I had the old menu and produced a new one. So instead I had bacon and mushrooms. But the bacon was unbelievably salty, with 25% fat I had to cut off and the plate had considerable fat from the grease of the bacon. Also,there were only sugar cubes on the table so I was brought a large bowl of sugar to take some from? I overheard the waitress say to the other waitress, we must get those sugar packets for the table. I then realised that these pleasant Scottish ladies were either new owners or Christmas staff. We stayed there a year ago and the breakfast was fine.

The room was lovely, clean and quirky. The food was great, we had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Nice big bath. The traffic was a little loud but that’s the price you pay for being so central.
Wasn’t a fan of the stuffed boar on the landing but that’s just me!

The bed and pillows were too hard. The breakfast was disappointing. Very small English breakfast and no coffee machine.

we were there on a Sunday and the bar seemed to close very early. I think it closed around about 8 o’clock, when your actual paying Guest you were expected to be open a bit longer.

The atmosphere of this place is really cool, lively bar and love the quirky features in the rooms. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and breakfast in the morning was delicious and very good quality, loved that you could choose how you wanted your eggs. Despite the lively atmosphere downstairs in the evening, my room was peaceful and couldn't hear downstairs at all. Check in and check out were both easy and appreciated that the invoice for my trip was emailed to me straight away saving me from chasing up afterwards. My room had a beautiful bathroom with lovely bathtub and shower. Bed was huge and mattress very comfy but the pillows were quite hard.
There wasn't any sanitary bin in the toilet (not great for lady things!) and as the wire framed bin in the bedroom had no liner in - couldn't put anything in there. Would have been good to have a full length mirror in the room. A card in the room with details of wifi code, breakfast timings, general info etc., would have been good too.

Great hotel , warm , comfortable, spacious and hosted by outstanding , caring , professional staff.
No car park , but town centre locations often experience this challenge . Great value public car park around the corner .

Bedroom was very comfortable = excellent. Bar and restaurant were comfortable and food was very good if a little pricey. There is no parking which was a bit of a faff, but would strongly recommend

Quirky hotel, comfy bed and great breakfast
Small problems, bath tub tapes temperamental, cleaning staff forgot to take dirty tea cups or renew tea bag supply… but all easily fixed. Also restaurant is not open every night so you have to plan ahead as there’s not much in Crewkerne

Nice room. Pleasantly unusual. Friendly staff.
Shame that the restaurant was fully booked - seems to have a great reputation. Could have eaten in the bar but this was almost empty. Went elsewhere (Bar5 which was great and served nice food/local cider).
Had to use public pay & display car park. so needed to go to car park before 8am for next day pay and display. Minor thing as it is close and cheap.

My daughters and I had such a pleasant stay at the crooked swan, they loved all the quirky features that made it interesting for them!

After being shown to my room I was told, the restaurant
was closed and no food would be served. It would have be good to know this or earlier in the day to make alternative plans.
Staff were unwelcoming and not really interested.
