The view incredible! Access to the walk path was right at the bottom of the stairs. Room was clean and the pool was wonderful! Breakfast was great!

There was nothing not to like!

Superb view and serenity, which Altana offer the unforgettable experience to guests. The owner(super cool twin brother) and Michael who mainly assisted me on all sorts of inquiries make sure their guests get anything they want and have a excellent stay with them. I liked the detailed map and recommendations they gave us. really appreciated it. it’s a shame that we couldn’t stay long enough so I have a reason to go back again in the future!

We loved the hospitality and amazing views. The hotel is located between fira and oia, just 15-20 min scenic and leisure walk to Fira. Being away from the crowds means we have more privacy and can enjoy the views in peace and quiet. There are at most a few professional photographers w their clients around. but they are not obtrusive to our privacy and very quiet. The view from our terrace was breathtaking with the caldera and 2 blue domes right in front. The hospitality of the hotel was warm, sincere and personal. It made good recommendations on things to do and helped to plan our trip. Their service really made a difference and is one of the best we have gotten from a hotel.

if we are to nit pick, it will be that the bathroom can be a little cold.

How can I describe how wonderful Altana is?? It's such a special place, and I can't recommend it highly enough. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which I think must be one of the best rooms in Santorini. It's located at the top of the property and is so private, with unobstructed views and the most unbelievably located plunge pool. The temperature can be set to whatever you want, from hot to cool. Soaking in that blissful water and being able to see the whole south part of the island and the sea surrounding it, the entire amazing caldera, and the sunset AND sunrise- you just have to experience it! I could have spent days without ever leaving our room and patio, it was so magical. I can't imagine a more gorgeous place or view anywhere. Pictures don't capture the feeling of being here. It's a true paradise. The room itself is beautiful, luxurious, spacious, and smelled amazing. It has ocean views from every window, even from bed. We had not only a large, private patio with the gorgeous hot tub & several lounging seats, but also a 2nd balcony where we had breakfast every morning. Breakfast was perfect: fresh, healthy, high quality, delicious and plentiful. The hotel is beautifully designed - modern but with charming, high-end details of the historic character. We felt pampered in every way at Altana. Marios and Michaelis were the most incredible hosts, our personal concierges for our whole stay. They made the best itinerary recommendations, arranged dinner reservations and car rental, and spent so much time giving us great advice that we felt like we saw the parts of Santorini that make it so unique and spectacular. We would have had a much less interesting vacation without them. Imerovigli is the ideal place to stay if you want quiet, romance, the best views on the island, great restaurants (loved Anogi), & Skaros Rock (amazing for a sunrise hike), and Altana is the perfect boutique hotel. I dream of the day I can return!

Everything was perfect.

Breakfast was amazing - delivered to your balcony everyday and everything freshly prepared. They gave us a free room upgrade without being asked and the staff were amazing could not do enough for us.

Mindblowingly stunning location, extremely welcoming and helpful staff, great food. We were very happy with our accommodation choice on Santorini. One thing to be aware of- if you don't book a room that has a private pool, be aware that the shared pool on the property has cold water (unlike the private ones). We sometimes swim in the North Sea, so we didn't mind- but I think it would be too cold for most people. Great views from there though.

This is an amazing facility in the perfect location for a Santorini vacation. We hiked to both Oia and Fira, and were very happy we decided to stay between these 2 busier towns in Imerovigli. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The caldera view from our room was awesome. The breakfast, served on our deck every morning overlooking the caldera, was plentiful and tasty. Highly recommended.

The shower was a bit temperamental, though we were able to use it just fine. The swimming pool was freezing! Great for those looking for a polar bear plunge, but a bit too cold for us.
