Absolutely amazing stay - our favourite spot in Iceland. Stunning spot, modern sleek hotel 11/10

This hotel is one of the best in the area. Rooms are very well appointed some with mini balconies to view the northern lights. Beds were comfortable and the luxury bathrooms were just perfect. There was plenty of space to hang clothes, a mini bar that you can self stock from the shop in the lobby and the communal area sauna on our floor was a nice bonus! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is very well kept and clean (felt brand new). There is plenty of parking and even a car re-charge point. Over all it offered good value for a hotel of this class (3 star), but with a few tweaks to service could easily get this up to a 4 star establishment.

No Room service, restaurant food was adequate but nothing special and had limited choice, poor connection to international channels on tv, no pool or hot tub (there is space for hot tub next to the sauna), no free upgrades offered when the hotel was at half capacity (we had mountain view but half the rooms were empty on the lake side).

Condescending staff. ‘Computer’ said “no” to nothing in the area open at lunch time (despite after 5 min of ‘googling’ two places open in the vicinity), “no” to have a takeaway cup/glass for your coffee, “no” for late checkout despite hotel only using 10% of their capacity etc.

Nice and cozy hotel. Location is ~8mins drive from town but an awesome to spot northen light (just need to find the right spot). A nice place for staycation away from the crowd. Room is generally big and equipped with the required amenities. Brrakfast is decent with station serving hot food. Saw snow/ice at the parking area. Good place for family with kids.
