Shower was spacious, cozy room.

They did not tell us when we booked that there was no ski shuttle service in the lower Hirafu area so we had to walk up to the slopes. Not so easy with a child. We also nearly missed our bus back to the airport because the staff forgot to pick us up, and when we called them 5 minutes before the bus left and the guy finally came! We were lucky the airport bus was kind enough to wait for us.

I’m basically writing a second review for the same 3-night stay because I added a 3rd night after having booked it for only 2 nights in the first place. I think I already said all of the positive points in my other review. The sofa & bed are both very comfortable. It was also great to have pillows not filled with rocks/beans and not tiny hard squares like in so many Japanese hotels. For a small studio, we had plenty of storage space for two large suitcases & our ski/snowboard stuff. We left our skis & snowboard in our car rental. The heated wall hanger thing at the entrance was great for skiwear to dry overnight. My huge suitcase easily fit into the closet on the floor and the other one too, standing up. We really didn’t use the kitchen other than for tea and keeping drinks in the fridge. It seemed like a decent kitchen space for a small studio. Bigger than some apartments I’ve seen in Japan.

New bath towels would have been nice and I think would have been replenished if we had originally booked for 3 nights so maybe the 1-night add-on messed that up.
