nice room, good equipped kitchen in the suite, nice and quiet location around the lakes in the back.

the multiple stairs to climb to the suite are quite steep and narrow and might not be easy to use for everyone.

Our room was fresh and clean as was the shower room. Bikes were stored in a locked shed. The location was pleasant beside a lake and gardens. Food was adequate for what is basically a roadside service stop

Our room was very cramped, we knew it was to be a small twin but it was very small. None of the staff seemed to know anything about anything, and certainly no one knew what to do about checking guests in or out. Service was very slow in the restaurant.

Beautiful surrounding, good bike garage, good size restaurant, good sized room, mosquito net on door a big plus

Balcony was very dirty. The food in the restaurant as not good, nothing was fresh, everything came out of a tin or was ready made food heated up. Next time I will not eat there. Staff didnt seem to be able to cope too well, several items were missing and some never arrived. A real shame that we were not allowed to sit and be served outdoors on such a beautiful day and evening. We were told that staff could not serve us outside and therefore we had to sit indoors. What a shame. Obviously, the hotel is right on a motorways, not ideal but the view over the lake made up for that. I was not disturbed by the road. One of the rooms was not cleaned very well. I didnät quite like that customers had to pay to use the toilet by the restaurant.

Close to Rijvaarfigheidscentrum Lelystad.

Spiders in room, needed to hunt them. One very big spider escaped; webs across the room. Asking at the reception desk to clean; nothing happenend. Lucky to stay only to nights. Furter the matras on bed was not fixed; hence, I fell out the bed each night. Sheets not clean. Small room but ok for 1 person. On the positive: quite room, windows could open for fresh air.

Around area near a lake. Staffs was nice. Delicious food.

close to highway but quiet at night, behind the room, there is a big park, nice view, perfect for walk, didn't try the restaurant, but seems good, because full of guests.

the bed is a little bit too soft for me, but not a big deal.

Bed was comfortable. Room was at the lake / river, which was great for our dog. Cleaning man was friendly.

The receptionist was unprofessional - he called me on the day of check-in telling me there is a water issue in the booked Twin Room with Balcony and that I will receive an upgrade - the apartment. At check-in he told me the issue was fixed and that I will remain in the original booked room. I went into the room and the shower was consistently leaking and the bathroom completely wet. He then said I will get the room opposite from it (without balcony), walked in with me and it was not even cleaned. Cleaning was arranged until the cleaning man showed me the sink was leaking very much and to use a bin underneath - unacceptable. I again went to the receptionist and he told me to go with the cleaning man to the 3rd room, another Twin Room (without balcony again), which was not properly cleaned. In the end we received a downgrade, had to move between 3 rooms, and after asking if I could at least receive the pet fee back due to all these complications and of having a downgrade (cheaper on the website than I booked and paid), the receptionist said I can only get the 5 EUR difference of the room per night back. So 15 EUR for the cheaper room I never booked and no real apologies nor compensation for such issue during our Christmas vacation. We once stayed before and really like it, also this is the only hotel nearby where me & my family could stay to go to our family's place so it's a shame this has now been ruined. Luckily the Van der Valk will open next year to use from now on. Please assure all receptionist are properly trained on complaints. He could have handled this all so much better...

After some delay due to confusion for our room and inaccuracy from the planning team, we were able to have an upgrade to a clean room with a waterfront view. Very nice facilities and accomodation with ideal location for travelers - also with pets.

Intended room was not ready upon arrival, delay for figuring this out, but well handled as we got an upgrade.
