The view from the front porch is great. Nice beach. Cottage is cozy.

Access to beach was convenient. Quiet neighborhood, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the water.

The waterfront location of this well-maintained, light-filled cottage is terrific for easy access to a protected sandy beach that is well-suited for children. It is in a very quiet area with no traffic, with easy access to a variety of stores, restaurants. The location is also convenient for local nature walks and hiking, as well as excursions in and around Portland.

Weather was disappointing but the house was cozy plenty of games and the beach steps away.

We had the best time at Hoot Mon. This was the perfect place for my family. The house was so clean and had everything we needed. Having the beach right outside our door was so convenient. Christina and Casey were so helpful and great to work with. We will be back.

We loved the easy access to the beach and lake, as well as the convenience of grocery stores and restaurants just down the street. We recommend this as a great vacation spot and would return in the future.

Very satisfying

"Hoot Mon" is a lovely lake cottage with comfortable and updated furnishings. It is open layout and has two bedrooms with en suites. It was perfect for our family consisting of two couples. It has great views of the Sebago Lake Basin, and direct access to a small neighborhood beach which was quiet and very clean. We really enjoyed the air conditioned interior on the hot summer days, which also made it comfortable for sleeping.

This property is awesome for the view and the proximity to a sandy beach. Has beach chairs and beach towels for guest use. Would have been super awesome if there were a kayak, paddle board, or canoe to use too. Very clean, and very close to grocery store and Walmart. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Another wonderful stay at HootMon! Our family looks forward to our stay every year. The home is always clean and supplied with the necessities (linens, toilet paper, etc.). The owners are super nice and accommodating. If you forget anything, grocery stores, Reny's and Walmart are just around the corner. And you can't beat the beach, the sunsets, and the loons!

We loved our stay in this property. The spotless house has been lovingly cared for with thoughtful touches inside. The upstairs bed and bath provides plenty of privacy from the downstairs bedroom with a loft that can be used as a third sleeping space. We found the views of the water and access to the beach even better than the photos on the listing. One could spend the entire stay lounging on the beach or in the house or take short day trips to many places. We loved having access to the gas grill, washer, and dryer. The kitchen space is great, too. We also made sure we were on the deck most nights to watch an extraordinary sunset that took on different colors each night. And our communication with the owners was great from start to finish. We are already talking about a return to this gem of a house.

This property was perfect for our small family getaway. Very clean and only steps away from a small beach for the kids to play and adults to relax. In addition, the location is very convenient for quick trips to Walmart, Supermarkets, restaurants, etc if needed. We definitely plan to vacation here again!

My family and I decided to take a trip up to Maine to show the kids how awesome of a place it would be to live in. Well, this place didn’t disappoint. Quiet, beautiful, clean, and cozy, this place had it all. And the owners were very responsive and sweet. We would absolutely stay again!

The Hoot Mon Cabin was perfect! It was so quiet and peaceful. The water views from the deck, the sunsets and the proximity to town were fabulous. The cabin was very clean, had all the necessary amenities and then some. The kitchen was well stocked and was great for cooking meals. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. We loved it and would definitely return!

We had a wonderful time staying at Hoot Mon! It is adorable and comfortable, and right on the sandy beach of Sebago Basin. We definitely recommend staying here, and hope to stay here again!

Super easy access to community beach which is a great option for little kids-flat, shallow and can watch them easily. House was as described. An easy place to relax.

We absolutely adore HootMon. It is a little hidden gem... steps to the beach, yet shopping is just around the corner. This was our second stay. Looking forward to returning next year and making it a family tradition.

Well equipped and very clean. More of a home than a camp with favs views up and down. Nice calm basin for easy canoe or kayak. Everyone loved the place.

We enjoyed spending time together as a family at the lake cottage. It was literally steps from the lake and super safe for our two young kids. I enjoyed that the kids could watch a movie on the third level while mom and dad could watch their own show in the basement.

We loved our visit to Hoot Mon! Great location, totally private, good lake access, but just minutes to stores and restaurants. We will be back!
