The staff were very friendly. All the facilities were good according to the money. The only downside is that the property is far away from Darjeeling

We did not stay in the hotel. The hotel said that they would not be able to accept the booking as they were already full. But they also wanted to check how many of us would be coming and for how many days. Unprofessional.

Mrs. Benu was really nice. Homestay was inexpensive.
The whole place was very basic, even grim, especially the bathroom. It was very far away from town's centre, a lot of steps to walk there and nothing interesting in the area. What comes to food, I had only one breakfast, and my omelette was so salty that I felt thirsty even after drinking 1.5 litres water.

The food was great. I reached around 1pm and had lunch outside. For dinner I had a veg thali that was extremely tasty. Breakfast was delicious. Benu served us aloo parantha and happily gave me some extra butter with it. They had chai on the house. The staff were wonderful and made me feel very welcome :)
The location is a bit outside Darjeeling at Labong. You need to take a shared car from the taxi stand near Queen hotel. It's another 15-20 minutes ahead from the main square. The room was also pretty small and a bit dingy but for the price point it's not bad at all.

away from noisy tourist centre. great views nearby. Quirky and down to earth place to stay

Very friendly service, good breakfast. Hot water properly hot, room clean. :)
Wasn't the right place for us. Too far out of town - only half an hour hike, as google says, but very steep. Shared taxi to town only R30 per head but can be hard to find. Bed was really hard and not comfortable, room a bit noisy especially in the evening.

The room they were provided is not upto the mark. The washroom western style toilet is totally broken. Water geyser is not properly working.

It is in lebong , a bit far from the city. Booking.com shows ~2 miles but it is almost 8 kms from the taxi stand.
Workation won't be possible here.

It really wonderful experience staying at Benus.View is amazing and hospitality is excellent.I really like the all the food she made.It doesn't matter whether is traveling solo or with family it is the best place to stay away all the development nonsense.
