Excellent location, with total privacy in a cottage totally stocked with everything you’ll need, even beach chairs, towels, beach umbrellas and body surf boards!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Kailua beach is stunning and truly only steps away. It was by far our favorite location of the places we stayed on Oahu. Misty was above and beyond helpful too which we appreciated!

This place was perfect for us, and you couldn't find a better location on O'ahu if you want to stay just yards from a gorgeous beach, perfect for long walks and watching sunrises!

Easy to access, safe and simply amazing location. The appliances and furnishings were underwhelming. Internet wifi was not reliable.

The cottage was in a nice, quiet neghborhood and is just steps from an absolutely beautiful beach. The house was clean and comfortable and nicely stocked with extra linens and plenty of tools and equipment for cooking which was great as we like to enjoy breakfast at home each morning. There was also a gracious supply of pantry items such as salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. A/C in the bedroom made for very comfortable sleeping. But the location....wow! You can actually the ocean from the dining table. Just cross the lovely front yard and you are on an absolutely gorgeous beach which is not overly crowded. Misty was very communicative and responsive. There is a charming market just about two blocks away and a good restaurant in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great home base for our combined work-from-home and family visit. The proximity of the best beach in the world helped us stay serene and happy. The cottage is as just right for us to both work and both relax.

Nice little place but a bit outdated. However the location was wonderful. Truly just steps to a wonderful beach with plenty of beach chairs to enjoy the view. Super close to shopping and easy to explore the island from this area.

We stayed here for a week around thanksgiving and loved our stay! Our local grandkids came over several times for a sleepover. The cottage is tucked next to the main house, but very private still. The beach is perfect for swimming and enjoying, and we often would walk to Buzz’s or Kalapawai market. We were fortunate enough to see the full moonrise over the water and bioluminescence in the waves at night. The kitchen is well stocked with basics. We will use this spot again when we visit our local family!

This house had everything you needed for the best beach vacation. You are steps away from the sand, a stocked kitchen and a quiet neighborhood. Definitely coming back!

This cottage is a little piece of quiet paradise. Even when we had a little maintenance problem, Misty was quick to get it taken care of. Tiny slice of heaven.

This is a great beachfront property and the beach is really really nice (no rocks, plenty of shade, not too crowded). Misty was a great communicator and assisted us with all our questions. We had our toddler with us and thought it was a great kid-friendly space. There is a nice big lawn for kids to run around on and plenty of beach toys for them to play with. We will definitely return!

If you are going to Kailua, this cottage is a perfect location and had everything we needed. The ocean is just a short walk across the property.

Property is as shown in the pictures. Cottages and homes are very close together but our experience was a quiet, respectful one with all neighbors. Our one frustration was with the sliding screen doors which didn’t really slide.. so when one fell off that worked better for us ( use the glass door on one side-that does work-and keep screen stationary on the other side). Easy walk to beach, some shopping and a great steakhouse.

My mom, my husband, and I had a great time. Awesome property so close to the beach. Very cozy just like home. Misty was very responsive and accommodating to all our needs. Highly recommended property. We hope to stay here again in the future.

We were here with our two kids and loved the location. Being able to walk to a swim-able beach was ideal for us. Misty was a great communicator and took excellent care of us.

Perfect location with a great beach to swim and lay in the sun! We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every one of them.

This was our second time at the cottage--the location is nearly perfect, on what we think is the best stretch of Kailua. The house is comfortable and has everything you need--except for hooks! Would like to see a hook near the outdoor shower to hang a towel and hooks somewhere else to hang beach towels! I also think some kind of indoor mat or towels by the doors, when you come in from the beach, would help greatly in keeping sand and grass from making its way into the house! Otherwise, we love this place and will return for a third time!

Awesome location, terrific beach access. Beyond the obvious limitations (2 bdrm, 1 bath), the kitchen is a bit underequiped, and the available BBQ is pretty much worthless. Still, a quiet little piece of paradise.

This was our second stay at Serenity Cottage and we certainly plan to return! Entire experience was effortless and seamless.

Not much I can say that other reviewers haven't. This location is hands-down perfect. Walk out the back door onto the beach. Not just any beach, but one of the best beaches in Oahu *and* far enough away from the parking lot that it is usually pretty private. Walk a block to a very cute local grocery store / sandwich shop, or slightly further to a pizza place, bbq, shave ice, and a few other shops. Or get in the car and go 5 minutes into Kailua proper. Paddleboarding, surfing, snorkeling, and kayaking are all available in Kailua bay. You can paddle to nearby "flat island", which even has a super friendly small surf break at it usually, or if you are more ambitious to "the motes" which are further. I took my daughter (age five) riding on the paddle board off flat island and we even caught a few waves. The place itself is basic, but clean and comfortable. We were left a very nice welcome basket with local coffee, chocolates, and potato chips. The AC and other equipment was all in good working order. There were a selection of beach equipment (sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, etc) available for us to use. (Notably, the pictured chairs and table weren't present which would have been nice). I would definitely stay here again if I were visiting Kailua and have recommended it to my friends.

Loved staying in this cottage - we felt like locals staying here!!! We were 4 adults (mom,daughter, son and girlfriend) and the size of the cottage was perfect for us. It was super convenient to have a washer/dryer plus full kitchen and gas grill - saved us plenty when we wanted to just eat in. Parking is great plus also very easy to get to and from leeward side. Location cannot be beat - just steps to most incredible beach and also to a great little market. I loved watching all the locals walk and play with their dogs on the beach. The main house next door happened to be vacant while we were there which was nice but it may not have been as serene if it had been occupied. I only hope to have another chance to come back to this amazing spot!!!

This place was excellent. Close to everything including a little market and kayak rentals. Literally 60 seconds to the beach. Functional and clean kitchen. Grill is not overly powerful, but no big deal. Loved having washer/dryer. 30 minutes from Waikiki and airport. Missy was a great host. Thank you!

Comfortable bedrooms, perfect for a family of four. Plenty of beach toys and chairs and towels. Only one star off because living room seating situation is a bit awkward and uncomfortable. But there's really no need to spend much time indoors when in paradise!

Private in a nice neighborhood

The cottage on the property where we stayed was very clean and a walk across the lawn to the beach. The location was ideal, a short walk from the local surf short with rentals, the local market with coffee and sandwiches, and Buzz's restaurant. Would recommend for a family of 4 looking to stay right on the beach.

Property is exactly as described. Well equipped, right on the beach and in a very safe location. A little dated, but you are getting this cottage for the location anyways! Misty was very easy to work with, the cottage had beach stuff, washer/drier and everything you needed for an extended stay. Best part, you walk across your lawn and there is Kailua Beach!
