We enjoyed our stay at Casa de Azul! We had stayed there a few years ago and they have made some good and needed improvements. Hot water in the showers was at times limited. A new water heater might help! The owners and property managers were good to communicate with. Parking at this place is a little awkward and less than ideal, but adequate. Over all this is good place with a beautiful view!

So, let me start by saying WOW! I just got home today and had to write this review because our stay was amazing. Me and My two sisters rented the property so we had soooo much space but that was the vibe we were going for. We could have stayed in PV and in any hotel we wanted but my goal for our vacation was exclusivity. That's exactly what we got! wow. what an experience!! From the start to finish! My followers on social media were in awe just as much as I was lol. Jose the property manager was very responsive and helpful. I need music at all times and forgot my speaker. Jose brought me a very nice/loud speaker that helped set the vibe even more. We hired the chef that the property managers referred and that was a 5 star experience. Food was amazing and worth every dollar. We also used the list of resturants, drivers, things to do, and such that was given to us when our plans got mixed up (totally on our end). The list was a life saver for us. I really wanted to go to Mar Y Vino in PV but didn't want to drive a hour out (we rented a car like advised which we found helpful. BUT if you don't know how to drive aggressively or you've never driven in Mexico I don't advise you to do such. It can be scary for some folks. ) So I read the list after we got there (should've read it before and even before booking activities) and we hired a driver that was suggested and he was very responsive as well as kind. We contacted him the day of and he made time for us. I'm so grateful for The Barnes and their thoughtfulness they put into every detail. Marianne was extremely responsive and accommodating. Felt like I was renting from family. I will for sure be booking again!!!

We loved everything about our stay. The location, the pool, the comfortable interior. We’re already talking about coming back.

As soon as you walk in you know you are on vacation. Family of 7 ages 10 and up and the house was perfect. Marianne was a breeze to work with, answered my millions of questions within a couple of hours. Jose, the new property manager, is amazing. He was always available for questions or small issues that popped up. A few notes...beach out front is not playable for the kiddos (if you are thinking beach chairs and sand castles) but right next door, at the new condo, there is a lovely beach...the new condo bar and pool area is literally attached to the side of the house and I imagine when it finished, it will be noisy...the beach is not easily walkable if you are thinking long morning beach walks...you definitely need to rent a car (no nearby bus service and taxis can be tricky), we used Gekho Car Rentals and they were amazing, made it very easy for our first time ever driving in Mexico. The pool is awesome, the house is very clean and has everything you would need. My understanding is they are stopping rentals for the summer to do some major upgrades and landscaping, cant wait to see it finished! We stayed for 2 wonderful weeks and would definately go back.

Casa Azul was absolutely perfect for our two-week getaway to the perfect weather of La Cruz! The location is excellent with easy access to both Bucerias and La Cruz towns, Playa Manzanilla and Playa Destiladores (both gorgeous) and other points. Being right on the water - walking out the door to the pool or the rocky beach out front was delightful. The pool is actually a decent size and though not heated, it was refreshing and I enjoyed floating on the supplied various pool toys;-) The house itself is well laid out with a private king suite on the first floor - very convenient. The upstairs has two distinct sections, each with its own bath. That worked out very well when our 2 visiting couples overlapped. The kitchen is well supplied with cookware and serve ware, if you chose to dine in. There is a plethora of great little restaurants nearby, however! We had a few minor home maintenance issues (e.g., light fixtures) at first but they were quickly taken care of. Vanessa, the local property manager was very responsive as was Marianne, the owner. The house itself is quite soundproof, but be prepared to hear music wafting across the water from Bucerias in the evenings. It was usually over by 11 or so. If it's bothersome, you could close the windows and turn on the AC I suppose - we never did as it was so comfortable without it.

We stayed 5 nights. House was perfect but needs some updates (which they say are going to happen). Located near La Cruz which was nice for exploring that area and close to Bucerias.

Really enjoyed our stay. During this crazy covid time it was so nice to have our own private pool. Great location with easy access to main highway to Bucerias and LaCruz.

We had a relaxing holiday in this clean, attractive , spacious vacation home. The furnishings, particularly the beds, were very comfortable. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the Bay , the glorious sunrises over the mountains , the friendly neighbours and the private pool. There is lots to see and do in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle , Bucerias and Puerto Vallarta as well as places north of the house like Punta Mita and Sayulita. We appreciated Marianne 's responsiveness when we were booking the place in particular the detailed instructions for finding the property as the access is quirky. This is an older property so , similar to our own home in Canada, repairs ,replacements and upgrades will always be needed . However Vanessa, the property manager , was quick to respond to our questions and quick at addressing several minor but immediate concerns . She also told us that a couple of needed fixes around the property were in the works. We were a bit disappointed that most of the TV channels were Spanish or Spanish dubbed over English. There is no house phone . As well, in this part of Mexico there is a condo building boom so it is impossible to get away from construction noise. To sum up, the pros far outweigh the cons so we would still highly recommend Casa de Azul and we definitely plan to return to La Cruz next winter. Leslie & Dwaine, Canada

Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Vanessa, our property manager was fantastic responding promptly to our needs. Spacious house with plenty of room for our family of eight. Had a memorable stay.

Great secluded location for having a morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the bay as the tide rolled in ... followed by having a swim in a very good size pool by afternoon. Casa Azul was calm, clean, and comfortable. Vanessa is an excellent property manager as she quickly got us situated and ensured our needs were only a text or phone call away. Added bonus ... some nights you can see the fireworks across the bay!

Vanessa is the MOST amazing and hospitable person. She arranged for my husband and I to do all the activities we wanted as well as transportation. We could not have been more happy with the cleanliness and the level of service we received!

We loved the Mexican style of the home. Waking up to sunrises and having our own space was amazing. Vanessa, the property manager was so helpful and available to help us with whatever we needed.

My family enjoyed a wonderful week relaxing at this beautiful home. The ocean views are breathtaking! The house is lovely and had everything we needed. Amanda and Vanessa were very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. We hope to return again to this little bit of paradise!

The first week of my holidays I went with 4 of my girlfriends to celebrate my 70th birthday. We were having such a good time at the house enjoying the pool and the view that the girls didn't want to leave even to go shopping. The second week the girls went home and my husband arrived. I have never seen him so relaxed. The manger Vanessa was very friendly and helpful. Stayed March 2-27 2019

I wish there was the option of 6 stars. Truly beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, comfortable. Is it for sale?? Seven adults stayed here for a week and we were all very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Vanessa was wonderful. Taxis affordable. Can’t think of even one problem or concern. Thanks for a wonderful week!!

I wish we could have stayed longer! The property was everything I thought it would be and more! Perfect location ! Definitely recommend :)

The property was exactly as described by Bob and Amanda. Large, comfortable and very well equipped for our stay. The beds were comfortable, the entire house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils for home cooking, the BBQ took some time to figure out but worked just fine once we learned how to use it. Vanessa, the property manager, was unbelievably efficient. We called , she was there providing all the help and information we asked for. Also, there was a security person on the property from sunset to sunrise which made us feel very safe and protected. The sunrises across Banderas Bay were spectacular. The pool was used on a daily basis since the temperatures soared into the eighties on most days. The loungers were occupied to dry off in the constant sunshine. I don't think we had a cloudy day during our four week stay. We all had a great , relaxing vacation. My only suggestion to improve the amenities would be to add some English language TV channels.

Excellent house with lots of room. We were 8 people in total, 6 adults and two children and we're very comfortable. There is a beautiful ocean view to watch sunrise and sunsets. It's close to Bucerias and La Cruz. The ocean is a little Rocky and hard to swim in, but we were able to do so at high tide. The pool makes up for the rocky beach and you could easily walk to the nearby beach or drive to the ones in La Cruz. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa De Azul. Waking in the morning to the wildlife out front was truly fascinating. The turtles, rays and porpoise never failed to entertain. The property is well maintained, and any minor issues we had were taken care of efficiently and immediately. The local fare was the most fun for us. We prefer the small local restaurants to the large tourist spots. We were not disappointed. Went to several farmers markets while there and really enjoyed them as well. The one at La Cruz was my wife's favorite. I highly recommend this rental. Bob and Amanda are fabulous, and the property manager, Vanessa is top notch. We'll be back.

We had a great time at Amanda's townhouse. During our stay, only 4 of the 7 units in the complex were occupied, so it was very private & peaceful. It was a beautiful walk along the beach to Bucerias; we chose to drive to La Cruz as we were unsure if the tides or rocks might impact our ability to go that direction. The townhouse is just the right mix of "nice" and "comfortable," and was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner & breakfasts. We shopped at the new La Comer on our way from the airport -- it was nice! The beach is rocky in front, but with our water shoes we waded out a good distance and enjoyed the warm water of the shallows. The pool was "refreshing" as most would say -- it's not heated and I'm a cold water wimp so found it (in early April) a little chilly for spending time in, but it was useful as a plunge pool to cool off. The mornings were still cool during our stay (~60), which I was told by one local was usually not the case after February, which probably impacted the pool temp. At night we could hear the music from one of the clubs in Bucerias, which included a brief fireworks display between 9:30 and 11pm. We hung out outside in the evenings so could hear it well (and their playlist seemed to have come from a 90s wedding reception), but inside with the windows closed & the a/c running in our bedroom, there was no outside noise whatsoever. We would go back in a heartbeat, and already suggested it to our aunt planning a family anniversary party. Wish we were still there!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Amanda's home! It met all of our needs. We prefer quiet, simple yet nice, and privacy and that's what we got. Vanessa was amazing at responding to the couple of things that came up the first couple days of our stay. Thank you Vanessa! Probably the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the beach out front is a bit rocky, yet we managed by walking a few hundred feet towards Bucerias to get to some sand, and it would have been great to have a dishwasher. Other than that, truly a gem. Thank you!

We really liked the pool and gardens. Venessa was wonderful, and really enjoyed our home cooked food. The only thing our stay was too short.

WE Stayed in the house during December of 2016. IT WAS SOOOOO WONDERFUL! Spacious - plenty of bathrooms - the apartment on second floor - is just beautiful (Stairs are risky if you are really sleepy though! lol) Private pool - Privacy and alone time is definitely what I got - I mean lets face it - thats what we all mostly go on vacation for... isnt it? Access to everything just a call away - if you can find the numbers. Recommend pacific paddle for paddle boards and the guy that does the horse rides on the beach passes on the beach frequently. the gentleman that passes on the beach selling breads... too expensive breads are dry... Those are just side notes. Anyway - back to the property... Beautiful house - and lawn and pool. The beach is... more of a rocky area .. we got water shoes and explored when the tide would go down - and sandy beaches are a walk away - still definitely worth it tho! The property manager was very nice - however promises kind of went unkept with additional requests.. and lastly - no cable for the whole stay - which I didnt care - I wasnt there to watch tv.. and no tvs in the rooms was another thing - but other then that - impeccable!!!!

The photos we saw online were exactly what we arrived to. The only thing that was different, was the second master (upstairs) is HUGE! It's like it's own little apartment, minus the kitchen. The photos online don't do it justice! This location is private, safe and a quick drive into town and the Mega grocery store. You are in between La Cruz and Bucerias, so choosing a beach day at either location was super easy. We had 4 adults and two 3 1/2 year olds on this trip. There was ample space for everyone to play, read, swim or just lounge. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to make breakfast/lunch/dinner and enjoy meals outside on the patio, or inside at the dining room table that seats six. Vanessa (house manager) was incredibly helpful and arranged a chef to prepare our dinner upon arrival, which was so nice to have after a long day of travel. We will definitely be booking this location again...started looking at flights the minute we returned home!

We just got back from a weekend getaway at this lovely property and we're already planning another one!! My husband and I and 2 other couples (we all live in Puerto Vallarta) decided to get away from the big city ;) sort of last minute and we wanted to rent a house for the weekend, somewhere close to us that somehow still felt "away" where we could all relax and recharge (we're all business owners here). I was really fortunate to find this house available because it had everything we were looking for and more and Amanda, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more responsive!! The property was just lovely!! It is so comfortable and the house and garden have such a wonderful layout... we all loved it from the moment we arrived and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!! We had a chance to relax and distress in the peace and tranquility of the area and the pool was absolutely fabulous, we practically lived in it the whole weekend :) it looked right onto the ocean and we could watch kite borders, para-sailors, fisherman and divers right from the comfort of the pool. Speaking of which; having the beach as your backyard was such a treat!! So peaceful and beautiful and private...we barely saw a soul on it… a neighbor or two at most the whole weekend … just wonderful! I have to add that Vanessa, the house manager was great as well! She saw to our every need quickly and efficiently. We can't wait to go back!!

We just got back from a 10 day stay in this beautiful beach house. As soon as we walked in we knew we had choosen wisely. The description and the pictures were accurate. This home was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the third floor balcony and sleeping listening to the ocean every night. We were definitely not ready to leave, we could have stayed forever!!! The house is very private, we enjoyed that, owner was easy to deal with and property manager Vanessa was fantastic, taking care of us in a very timely manner. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and family. WE WILL BE BACK!!!
