Hôtel avec accès à une superbe plage. Le personnel est charmant et ils viennent vous chercher et vous déposer en voiturette de golf à l’embarcadère du Ferry.

La ubicacion y la atencion del personal

Excellent location and the seating areas and extra touches with the plants and little waterfall made it really special!

Amazing location next to a splendid beach, friendly staff, room was very clean and spacious, beach towels were provided for free, and we even saw whales from the restaurant terrace
AC in our room was quite loud, service in the restaurant was rather slow (though who cares with a view like this...). We loved our stay but my main criticism is the price - we paid over EUR 230 per night, which in my opinion is too much for the quality of the facilities - while the hotel is nice, it could do with a bit of an upgrade as some parts are getting a bit old. For this price, I would have expected a more luxurious experience.

Helpful and super friendly staff. They greet you at the door and explain how everything works. Breakfast was wonderful everyday. Our room was kept cleaned and our towels changed daily. Plenty of toiletries. The beach was amazing as well. They have a bar and food service downstairs by the beach. They close at 5 pm. They also provide beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for guests. Golf carts are available to rent by the hour or daily so you can tour the island on your own. The island is very walkable as well. Contadora is a beautiful place to visit. We had the opportunity to go to three of their beaches and they were all gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay very much!
The only suggestion I would make is that they inform their guests that there’s really nothing much to do after sunset. There’s no light by the beach or in the terraces at night. Most of the activities there happen during the day and it is really just a place to relax and enjoy their beautiful beaches, snorkel or take day trips to their many smaller islands. In Panama pretty much everywhere sunrise is around 6:30 am and sunset around 6:30-7 pm. Also, beware that prices on the island for food, drinks and anything else are twice as much as on the mainland, so be prepared to spend a lot more for meals, etc. Overall the beauty of Contadora and the stay at Mar y Oro is well worth the price.

The view and location was beautiful! Definitely worth visiting. If you want a quiet place just to sit on the beach, this is the place.
The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was very small and dated. The restaurant charges for every little thing and the staff functions in multiple roles. Ex. Front desk check in will also substitute for wait staff, which can take awhile.

Manager's customer service. There were duplicate charges to my hotel reservation thus when requesting to cancel a reservation I was told I would not get a refund due to the cancellation policy.

Location right on the beach.
Hotel and facilities are dated, poorly maintained and in a state of disrepair.

The lunch was not included - what was included was the breakfast, which was very simple but good (eggs, toast, fruits, juice and coffee/tea). Breakfast is "a la carte".

The hotel is good but not exceptional. I leave more information here so other travelers can decide. We had room number 5 with ocean view and extra large bed. The little detail not mentioned on the site is that the room is on the ground floor and people will be passing in front of your window on the way to their rooms. Also, you can here people at the reception desk and the offices are located nearby. So every time personnel is in and out you can hear the doors slamming. It has little privacy. We were offered to change the room for an extra charge of 30-40usd but when we saw the other room it was much smaller. So paying extra for a smaller room felt unfair and we refused this “upgrade”. Staff in the restaurant is very polite. Staff at the reception was all the time stressed and a bit rushing you. The check in and check out felt a bit chaotic. The inside garden and beach bar are under construction. At times it can be a bit noisy. The beds and quality of towels is very good. The bathroom we had needs a bit of renovation or better maintenance of the shower area.
Location is excellent and overall facilities are good. The restaurant with delicious view is a plus. I think the hotel is overpriced for what it is but anyway the island does not have many options with an ocean view and services. Other places offer half the price but dont have the same location in front of the sea. We enjoyed our stay and rested well. Sharing this information so people can decide better for their holidays.
I wish the rooms had a better and fair description on the website.

The staff was super friendly and being on the beach was perfect.
Nothing to dislike! Beautiful hotel

The room was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and the staff was courteous and helpful.
The common areas were in various states of disrepair. We expected better from a water front resort.
3.5
The view, the bar at the beach and a restaurant at the property.
The room wasn't neat, old bathrooms
2.5
Beach access at the front, breakfast was decent
Not a good value for money, the facilities need a but of refurbishment they are still old. The price for the buggy is 75$ vs 50$ few months ago. Breakfast can be improved, based on the price for a night I expect higher level of service & quality. If you want a snack at the beach after 11am it's not possible you need to wait for lunch, even for some basics like chips, nuts. The beach is not very clean, lot of plastics, cans.
Will definitely find another option for next stay at this beautiful island.
