beautiful location, friendly staff, kayaks to hire, food was good and reasonably priced.
It would be more relaxing if transport costs and options were more 'transparent' and easier to work out. For example, the web information quotes a cost of taxi from airport to hotel as being 'per room', but asking at the desk for transport I was quoted a 'per person' amount.
Maybe kayak hire could be 'inclusive' for guests, but was listed as an extra cost.
It would also be great to have a guide as to places to snorkel, for those not focussed on dive trips. If out front, near the point is OK, then an access point to get in past the rocks would be worth creating. Or information on trips out to the nearby islands for a few hours of snorkelling, etc

We enjoyed our stay at this small boutique resort a lot! The resort offers great adventurous options to explore the area for all levels of fitness. We in particular enjoyed renting a kayak and paddle to the nearby blue holes, highlight of our entire stay in Vanuatu. Renting a quad bike to get to Champagne Beach was another highlight, so was diving organized by the in-house PADI dive center. EVERYONE was always super friendly! Thanks for a great and memorable stay!
There was not much to dislike, maybe a better option range for the "inclusive breakfast". In similar resorts we had the option to at least chose one hot meal from the menu per day.

The axing blue water, the locals where all smiles.
Nothing, want to live there.

Excellent reef out the front of the resort. We had a great time snorkelling out here. The restaurant area overlooks the water, it is a lovely place to eat. Very comfortable accommodation. Friendly and lovely staff.

Tout est fait pour que le client se sent à l’aise !!!
Peut être un peu loin du centre ville mais honnêtement rien à dire .

Lovely staff, amazing chef. The swimming pool, swings and hammocks kept the kids entertained. Plenty of space to relax away from others. The famous blue holes were only a short 10 minute drive away.

-Breakfast was great
-Restaurant is really good
-Staff were so nice (special mention to Ken)
-Right on the water and beautiful grounds
-Rooms are noisy. I could hear everything that was happening next door. This meant I was conscious of everything I did or said in my own room.
-I asked for check out a little later and the hotel not only said no but also that I should check out earlier than the time stipulated on the booking.

Great accommodation with a lovely vibe. This dive lodge is just the right size, comes with everything you need and lovely staff. Highly recommend the whole baked fish (asian style) too - we had it twice we loved it so much. The family beach front villa, was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teens. It was so nice to go to sleep with the sound of the waves, wake up to a sun rise coffee on the spacious deck and a glass of wine on the beach at night looking over to Deny Island.
More sunshine please. Grateful for the 3 days we did have in the sun, swimming with the fish and kayaking the bue holes.

Breakfasts were great plenty of delicious local fruits, tea coffee and toast. Staff were just amazing so accommodating and friendly. Turtle Bay Lodge is well run beautifully clean with plenty of comfortable seating and great loungers around the pool. 100% enjoyed my stay.
Maybe a few more GF options my friend has celiac disease and although the kitchen staff were amazing at improvising on what there was available there could have been a few more options. Celiac disease is very common now days.

I loved everything about Turtle Bay lodge - the location, the room, the decor, the choice of swimming in the bay or snorkeling the coral reef, the quad bike, the canoes, the food, the staff. It’s such an amazing location and so close to all of the natural attractions of Santo that I don’t think I could have made a better choice.
Cruise ship days! Not the hotels fault at all - just wish the cruise ship patrons did not venture beyond the restaurant area to disturb our serenity.

We loved most things about this place. Beautifully located on Turtle Bay, Santo with views in every direction of a turquoise sea, framed by palms and tropical trees. Away from the road and quiet, very welcoming staff and helpful response/suggestions to our questions about what to do etc. On site restaurant offered well prepared tasty food and the wait staff were excellent. Chris the restaurant frontman was everywhere and, despite being busy, never lost his cool. Mick and Vicky manage the place extremely well and happily engage with the guests. Great options for water related activities including some very good coral gardens on the nearby reef and the chance of catching sight of a turtle or dugong.
Very little. We used a kayak which could do with some replacement parts.

owner was very friendly and super helpful! very kind staff and arranged all kind of activities for us.
we had some issues with cockroaches the first night which they fixed for us and we didn’t have problems anymore after that.
all the food was very good and staff was super kind and hard working (one staff member got sick and the others worked super hard to make us comfortable and even gave us free drinks because we had too wait a little longer)
would have liked to have a place to sit at night with a book as the restaurant closes at 21:00 / 22:00 and then all the lights are turned off. so only place to sit after that is in your room which was ok

Food was excellent and the staff were even better than excellent. Loved every minute of our stay. only wish it could have been longer.
Internet didn't go to the room, but just mean i had to catch up on line while siting in the dinning area and taking in the magnificent Turtle Bay and surrounds

- extremely friendly and attentive staff !!!
- nice chill Vibe and view from the restaurant/bat
- good location (close to blues holes and river and 30min from champagne beach and 45min from port Orly)
- good food at the restaurant
- free water
- avoid the room next the to restaurant (you have the strong garlic and food smell until 22h) it's horrible
- NO AIR CONDITIONING! That's really a problem
- uncomfortable beds and pillow
- way too expensive for what it is. But actually the it's best affordable one in the region. Barrier beach resort is way better but 2-3x more expensive
- the hot water from the shower was not consistently hot (sometimes cold)

Best resort in Vanuatu!!! Loved the staff, the location, the range of food and drinks, kayaking to the pool pools. The place was tastefully decorated with beautiful murals everywhere.
The pool was disappointing - a bit green and lacking in water - apparently too much rain...

great staff and location
pool seemed like it needed a little bit of work to be ready for kids - we have rebooked for 2 weeks in December already sure it’ll be good to go then

Great location by the water with open sided restaurant serving all day. Great continental breakfast. All meals large portions. Quiet setting for chilling out, but swimming and kayaking on offer, and trips arranged on request.
Good beds. First room, ocean view, had a great shower. Would definitely stay again.
Second room I was in, the marquee, didn't have a great shower, and everything felt a bit damp and musty, particularly the bedding. But it was nice otherwise and in a quiet spot.
Could do with better lighting in the rooms for reading.

My partner and I spent 5 nights at Turtle Bay Lodge and we absolutely LOVED IT! The lodge is conveniently located, with a 30minute transfer from the airport. Transfers are easy organised with reception.
On arrival we were welcomed by their extremely friendly and helpful staff who took us directly to our room. We stayed in the waterfront marquee, which have amazing views right from the bedroom. The room was spacious, very well decorated and the beds were very comfortable.
The managers Mick and Vicky were fantastic, they always had time for a chat and gave us recommendations of things to do on the Island. They were always more than happy to help with any questions we had.
The food in the Restaurant is beautiful, with complete water views from every table. The menu has plenty of options to choose from, I would definitely recommend the Surf & Turf and the Poulet fish. The service was outstanding, big shout out to Dixon who looked after us most nights while dining, nothing was ever a problem and he made sure we always had cold Tuskers.
As I was celebrating my 30th birthday, the staff made up a special table for dinner with a personalised card, flowers, confetti and more. This was a beautiful touch and made the night very special.
There is plenty of activities to do around the resort, we took the kayaks out to the Blue Holes after staff recommendations which was absolutely amazing. You can snorkel directly off the resort, with plenty of ocean life.
Nothing was too much trouble for Angie, she was fantastic and helped us to arrange a few day trips which included snorkelling at Aese Island, Dugong spotting and horseriding.
One of the days we rented the two quads to go exploring Champagne Beach, Nandi Blue Hole and Port Orly. The quads are a great way to get around the island.
We could not recommend Turtle Bay more highly. Thank you to all the staff for an unforgettable experience, we will definitely stay here again if we return to Santo.

All the staff were really warm and helpful. The food was really fresh and the resort itself was beautiful. It’s a little out of the way, but I was going for a peaceful getaway, so that didn’t bother me. There’s enough to do there to make it worthwhile - I especially loved kayaking to the nearby blue holes. I had an early morning checkout and staff made sure I had breakfast in the fridge so I could eat before I left.
Wifi was a little patchy, but that’s the same everywhere.
