The property was clean, very well equipped, everything was well indicated, beautiful peaceful location right by Roche harbor. We had a lovely stay!

Great house and large yard for out

One problem was the editing of entry/exit code. It needs to be said to lock up, one hits the lock feature on the key pad twice. The WIFI PW was incorrect as well. Luckily, we figured things out. And ALL THOSE STAIRS! I was afraid someone would miss one and fall and break something. Our small dog enjoyed the yard very much. The partial view was lovely and it's very quiet there! Oh wait! why is the owners bed so dang high? Crazy because once again, I was worried about missing the step when I had to get up in the middle of the night.

Absolutely lovely home in a very tranquil wooded area. Probably the most comfortable rental home I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot! Totally spotless and stocked with more things than I’ve ever seen in a rental before. The beds were super comfortable. If you’re planning on using the bunk beds for kids, just be aware that they are not in a closed bedroom, so if you plan on putting the kids to sleep and then staying up to relax in the living room, it would be hard to do. But my 9 and 7 year olds slept together in the queen bed and it was fine. Also, make sure to bring your mosquito repellent and after bite spray! I’ve lived in Washington for 17 years and just wasn’t prepared at all for the amount of mosquitos we experienced! Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the gorgeous backyard or the hammock because our first day we were eaten up alive by mosquitos within about 2 minutes! As long as you come prepared, you’ll be able to enjoy the yard. Overall a very lovely home and it’s clear it’s well taken care of.

Fabulous home away from home. Amenities galore with super stocked kitchen, comfy beds and good Wi-Fi. A real gem to stay in- a sanctuary after each day ‘s adventures! Thank you!

We are frequent visitors to San Juan Island however this is the first time we rented a home. Everything exceeded the description, from the moment we got there. The house was immaculate and well stocked. The setting, with gardens, local wildlife (fox and deer), and a peaceful quietness while only a short walk to Roche Harbor, made for a magical stay. We will be back!

I wish we would have had another day to stay at this property and Roche Harbor! What a special place. After we finished with our whale watching at Friday Harbor, we made our way to the house. We felt “at home” when we opened the front door. The house was very clean and comfortable. Windows had been opened before we got there so the clean, crisp, coolness was welcoming. There was soft music playing in the background (we actually thought for a moment someone was already there). We unloaded the groceries, made claims to our rooms and sat outside with some cocktails and charcuterie board before making supper. Everything we needed was there. We had a lazy morning the next day which afforded beautiful views with a cup of coffee. We drove to Roche Harbor and were completely BLOWN AWAY by the yachts and yachts and yachts. This is how the “other side” lives??? A drive to Lime Kiln lookout was beautiful. No orcas but still relaxing. I would recommend this house. It is not waterfront but has water views through the front window, front yard and patio along the side of the house. The informational book was very helpful and well organized!! With our adult son living in Redmond, we will definitely make additional trips to Friday Harbor!!

I thought the house was beautiful and was beautifully appointed. I thought the value was not really appropriate.. I felt like it was too expensive. I also thought there was access to water that was closer. It was at least a 10 to 15 minute walk for any access to the waterfront. I also felt like a 4 o’clock check-in and 10 o’clock check out is not within the norm. Typically I can get a 3 o’clock check in at 11 or 12 o’clock check out

This property is absolutely gorgeous and we loved every minute of our stay! The views and front yard were incredible and the kitchen was so thoughtfully stocked with anything you could need for cooking. We enjoyed the deer and fox that visited the yard as well.

This house is located very near Roche Harbor and has quick access to the entire island. The kitchen is well equipped, and the kids loved the fusbol table. Great rental.

We loved this lovely quiet community close to Roche Harbor. The home had a beautiful yard and lots of space to gather. We really enjoyed being close to Roche Harbour, and away from the business of Friday Harbour. A quick and easy drive to anywhere we wanted to visit. Deer and wildlife in the yard are fun to watch as well. The room with the bunk beds is open to a common living space, so there is little/no privacy and persons sleeping there are open to the living room kitchen area. I really appreciated the well appointed kitchen, local advice and care taken to the binder with information and pride in home ownership of this property.

This home is amazing! 3 adults and 2 kids had the most relaxing time here. The house is comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything. Watching the sunrise from the living room chair was a great way to start the day. The deer in the yard also brightened our day! Each of us would highly recommend this hideaway.

Perfect for the family. Love the set up. Plenty of dishes appliances etc. Everything was stocked and well-maintained. The entire home was very clean from the bathroom to the carpet to the countertops. We were very very happy with our visit and will stay here again

What a beautiful property and beautiful home! Conveniently located near Roche Harbor and Wescott Bay Oysters! The property was very large with a great enclosed backyard, deck, and grill. From the front of the property you could see water and was walking distance to a small cove to sit on the beach and enjoy the fireworks for the 4th! We had an incredible trip, and this home was an added benefit!

Gorgeous view of ocean. Super clean and everything you need; fast internet, kitchen supplies, comfy pillow top master bed, good water pressure, large beautiful yard and lots of deer.

We had a wonderful stay for three nights here with our small pups. they had a ball in the fully fenced backyard (which we don't have at our home). The property was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for us; we enjoyed cooking in each night, as the weather was great, and th grill was a welcomed addition. The kitchen is so nicely stocked, it was great to just cook and relax. We would definitely stay here again.

This place has all three things that my mother taught me to look for: location, location, location. The house itself is beautiful, immaculate, well provisioned and located in a magical forest. You can see the ocean through the trees across the street. You can walk to it in minutes. The dining at nearby Roche Harbor was great! Be sure to check the owners restaurant recommendations before you go out, there's a notebook in the dining room. The drive to Friday Harbor is easy and maybe 20-25 minutes. The next time we are planning a visit to the San Juans we will check here first. It's expensive but worth it. My mother would have adored this place.

Very well equipped. Great location. We had no communication. None was needed.
