Diese Unterkunft verfolgt ein besonderes Konzept und wurde deshalb auch als „Social Hotel“ ausgezeichnet. Besitzer und Gäste bewohnen eine große Villa mehr oder weniger gemeinsam. Das Haus, die Lage auf einem Hügel etwas außerhalb von Hamilton, die Zimmer und die Vermieter sind wunderbar. Allerdings teilen sich mehrere Zimmer ein WC und ein großes Gemeinschaftsbad. Das sehr leckere Frühstück findet in einer geräumigen Wohnküche mit tollem Blick über die Landschaft statt. Wir mochten es sehr gerne, mit den Vermietern und den anderen Gästen zu plaudern.

Colleen was amazing, loved her making time for our little boy, he loved his Harry Potter room. Suite was spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished. Bath was super deep, property was beautiful, breakfast was great, Colleen's scrambled eggs are a must do. Clive was lovely and chatty and the animals topped off our great stay. Would score Rua Resort more than 10/10 if possible

Owners are not Covid vaccinated, and have no intention of being vaccinated.

Breathe taking scenery driving up to the resort, peaceful, fresh air, farm animals, nature and especially to get away from the city for a day.
Hosts Colleen and Clive such grace and accomodating to our needs. To take the time to have small talks was nice.
Facilities outstanding, our room was super cute with an amazing view from the balcony...WOW!!! and bed was very comfy. Open shower bathroom A++++

Excellent friendly hosts who went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful overnight stay! Beautiful location and facilities and definitely child-friendly. Farm animals a bonus.

I contacted property about my booking as cancellation free option was coming up. I was travelling from Melbourne so there was uncertainty about travel bubble. I specifically asked wether I should cancel and rebook but they advised they could “suspend” booking. I made it very clear that I wanted to make sure that would happen without penalty. The bubble didn’t open in time and they did not have availability for my new dates. Just for 1 of the 2 nights. I didn’t want to move after 1 night. The refused to refund. Awful Awful people

The room was cozy. The people who manage the property are nice, friendly and very accommodating. The kids really enjoyed all the different animals, they loved picking grass and feeding the horses.

I loved the bathroom right down to the warm blankets I love the freeness of the outdoors amazing clean home. I loved the animals

The house is massive and furnished to a very high spec. The view is lovely, breakfast was good and the hosts were polite (if without warmth).
Our room was small and the only place to sit, other than on the bed, was outside on the balcony We had to remove our shoes at the front door and share the bathroom and toilet with 3 other sets of guests. There were no facilities for having a glass of wine or cup of tea in the room. We felt like we had to tiptoe and talk in whispers the whole time and was just not as homely as we were looking for at this end of our holiday.

Awesome experience with Colleen and Clive. Friendly hosts and the place exceeded our expectations. Family were really happy and we will definitely stay here again whenever we come back to Hamilton.
