The breakfast was delicious, with many choices, and a Thai breakfast cooked by the staff. Ice water, fruits, coffee and cookies are provided 24 hours a day. The accommodation environment is quiet, and you can reach Thapae Gate in 3 minutes' walk. The Sunday night market is right at the entrance of the alley, which is very convenient. The staff are very warm and friendly. What a great stay!

Quarto confortável, banheiro bom e várias opções, inclusive de comida local, no cafe da manhã. A recepcionista foi receptiva ao nos ajudar chamando um táxi para irmos para o aeroporto. Localização ótima.

The food was good. We love the sauteed mushrooms, pana cotta and lemon cake. We love the homely environment and friendly staff. Great location too! We will be coming back soon!

Fabulous location, lovely setting, comfortable rooms, just the most lovely staff, so helpful, friendly and polite. We used the free bikes and enjoyed cycling round the old city, and even out to the Ping river- after a delicious breakfast at the hotel, of course!

Loved everything about it and absolutely gutted we only stayed the one night. if I return to Chiang Mai again, I’ll 100% return to this hotel. super friendly and helpful staff. I loved how sustainable they are. The water machines were a bonus, as well as the free bike hire :)

This hotel is all about 5 star hospitality, the staff were truly amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were better than many 5* hotels. The hotel is also committed to sustainability which in this day and age should be a given, however unfortunately it’s not. We would 100% come back here again

We have just spent 3 weeks at this extraordinary hotel, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences of my traveling life. Its situated right near Thapae gate in the old city, and is walkable to everything including the amazing Sunday walking market which is literally at the end of the street, but you wouldn’t know it as the hotel is amazingly quiet. It’s quite a modern hotel, the rooms are moderate with a minimalistic design but very versatile. What made the place were the staff, I haven’t met such energetic, happy, helpful, hard working and kind people who bent over backwards to make your stay the best it could be. The other amazing part was how environmentally conscious the hotel chain was, from providing you water in reusable glass bottles, having a filtered water machine on every level, and recycling receptacle in every room. The breakfast which was included was exceptional (my friend stayed at 3 different hotels while I was at Por and her breakfasts were no where near in comparison), they also have a good vegetarian selection. 24hrs a day you were able to grab fruit (mango, passion fruit, dragon fruit and pineapple) plus water and coffee, tea and hot chocolate all included in your stay. I want to thank some staff personally for making our stay exceptional Meuw, Tangmo, Cookie (Kie), Emma, King and Jeb. You were all just amazing. Thank you for an incredible stay which I will compare all other hotels too.

The rooms were very modern and clean, staff were so friendly and helpfull, pool was very clean and breakfast was so delicious. I would definitely stay here again. We had the loveliest time and the location was perfect too. So closr to the Sunday market!

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was easy to walk to. They served a great breakfast buffet with free glass bottles of water and snacks always available. Everyone was so kind and the rooms were nice with a balcony. I recommend and rate a 10/10

Tout. L’emplacement, le personnel incroyable. L’équipe est jeune et dynamique toujours là pour répondre à tous nos besoins. Hôtel situé dans une impasse donc aucun bruit, ça fait du bien de s’éloigner de l’agitation de la ville. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est quand même idéal pour visiter la vieille ville (on a tout fait à pied) pour le reste on peut utiliser les tuktuk ou un scooter (il y a un petit parking pour les garer). Pour le petit déjeuner il n’y a pas dix mille choix mais l’essentiel est là et surtout la qualité est là avec en prime des sticky rice excellents à la banane, à la coco ou encore à la patate douce. Le gros plus est la presence de fruits frais, d’eau et d’accès à la machine à café gratuitement à n’importe quelle heure de la journée ou de la nuit. De plus l’équipe nous a gardé nos sacs pendant cinq jours le temps de notre boucle en scooter. À notre retour ils nous ont permis de profiter encore des équipements de l’hôtel. Franchement on ne pouvait pas mettre une autre note que 10. Mille merci

Wir waren rundum begeistert vom POR Thapae Gate! Die Lage ist unschlagbar, man ist mittendrin, aber dennoch ist es in der Hotelanlage super ruhig, dadurch dass es sich in einer kleineren Nebenstraße befindet. Das Personal war rund um die Uhr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück hat uns jeden Morgen aufs Neue begeistert. Alles wurde frisch und liebevoll zubereitet und angerichtet. Es gab rund um die Uhr kostenfrei Wasser, Kaffee und frische Früchte. Außerdem täglich 2 Flaschen Cola umsonst im Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Die Zimmer waren stets sauber und sind modern und funktionell eingerichtet. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben und für uns steht jetzt schon fest, dass wir dieses Hotel wieder wählen, wenn wir noch einmal in Chiang Mai sein sollten! :-)

Das Frühstück war unfassbar gut. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen, da auch nach dem Frühstück frisches Obst, Kaffee, Tee und Wasser, sowie kleine Kuchen und Sticky rice angeboten wurden. Alle im Preis inkludiert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit uns zuvorkommend. Jedes Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon und war perfekt ausgestattet.

The team running this hotel are doing a fantastic job,. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious and well made and we really appreciated the coffee, tea and snacks that were available in the lobby. The staff could not have been more helpful and made us very welcome. Great location right next to the Sunday night market but up a quiet lane, well placed for everything we wanted to do.

We really enjoyed our stay at Por Thapea Gate and would come back. We stayed here 4 nights in December 2023. The value for money here was just right! The location of the hotel was also top, the Sunday Night Market is just outside on the street, 1 minute walking distance. It was still quiet at night. The rooms were not very big but had everything one needed and were clean! You get unlimited water and even fruit daily from the fridge in the lobby. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered some local dishes, different kinds of bread, fresh fruit and juices and more.

Excellent, so far glad we chose this hotel Location - so close to Thapae gate where most activities are especially the Sunday market. We were there on NY eve and there were a live concert and lanterns floating at the gate The hotel provides fresh fruits (mangoes, water melon, dragon and passion fruits), coffee, tea and water all day round. Its so nice to have fresh fruits after we came back from a trip or long walk. There is a water refill station at each floor The breakfasts were delicious. Plenty of varieties: hot thai food, banana sticky rice in banana leaves and a wide range of western food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked a private driver for us to take go to Doi Suthep. They can arrange day tours as well and its best to book them once you’re in Chiang Mai

The shower curtain didn’t keep the water in so the shower floor was quite wet after each shower

You can’t find a better location than this small chic boutique hotel right smack in the middle of the beautiful old city, but far enough from the busy Main Street so you are away from the hustle and bustle The rooms are small but have everything you need for your stay in Chiang Mai. The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want you to get up in the morning. The staff will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is fantastic and so delicious, from local to western options. There are also plenty of Vegetarian friendly options. Their laundry service is quick, very affordable and amazing. We walked all over the city from here and did the 2 day, 10 temples a day tour on our own. It’s so worth it.

There was no hot water at the sink. So shaving was out of the question

I love the all day coffee, snacks and free flow fruits, makes one feel right at home. Staff were really helpful, esp Kie who helped me with some tour bookings, she really went all out to get the one I preferred. Special thanks to her. Room with bathtub was really nice and spacious.

Nothing. Would be nice if there is bath salt to go with the bathtub. Bed could have been a bit firmer, but it’s a personal thing.
