Clean and well kept home with everything we needed. Only concerns were that some of the tall people in our group complained the beds were too small. Also this property is attached to another property with person(s) staying in it. Was not an issue for us but something to be aware of. Overall a great experience.

We had booked the house for 7 days but left after only one night. The property did not meet our expectations.

Overall the home was nice but I didn't read the house rules to carefully (my mistake) and didn't realize that the house would be set to 78 deg which is way too hot for me. The owner did set it down to 74 for our stay but it still was a bit uncomfortable. So while the home is nice, I wouldn't stay there if you're not able to sleep with such a temperature. You have the option to open the windows in the evening which we did but the airflow in the home was such that the home never cooled below 74 even when the outside temperature was 64. Note the thermostat is controlled remotely. In the winter, this is not an issue but I would keep this in mind when renting in the warmer months if you are sensitive to heat. Other than the temperature, the home is clean and well kept. It's in a nice area. This was my second time renting the home but my first time was in December so the temperature was not an issue.

The house met all of our expectations. It was clean and roomy enough for our family of five. We'd book again!

Staying here was great! We came in for a family wedding and it made a nice home base in between all the events. It’s close to everything we wanted and needed, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed was in the unit. Dishes, cookware, garbage bags, soap - you name it, Alyse thought of it! The only thing that was a bit of a surprise was that we couldn’t directly adjust the air conditioning. If we wanted the temperature changed, we would have to contact the owner. We never had to do that because the house, while warmer than I would usually keep it, was never uncomfortable. All in all, I would call the climate control a quirk, not an inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a great home away from home for our family of four. The kitchen is nicely stocked, the bathroom is great. The owner was very helpful, even when we accident locked ourselves out late at night.

The house was very clean and comfortable as far as amenities but the owner lives in the back half of the house and controls the thermostat. She not only refused to turn it down but got very snippy and told me I had special needs if I wanted it set at 70. It was sweltering hot in the bedrooms and nobody could sleep well at all. the temp was 80 when we arrived and she did turn it down to 77 and even with fans and open windows it did not cool off enough for sleeping. We left 118 degrees in Arizona to cool off by the coast so we were really disappointed to not only be hot but the multiple ranting texts about how nobody in their right mind would have a house set at 70 was very disturbing. I would not stay here again and I would have given better rating if her attitude was not so nasty

This two bedroom, one bath home isn't large, but it's very open and roomy. It is immaculately clean, and Alyse has thought of most everything! The bathroom has a deep tub, a lovely vanity with lots of space and a wonderful tiled shower with a hand held shower head. There were coffee filters, a bag of ice, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and lotion...and a working hair dryer! The beds were very comfortable, although on the second night our friend traded the daybed in the guest room for the lower bunk, which she said was more comfortable. The HIGHLIGHT IS THE PATIO OFF THE KITCHEN/DINING AREA! What a peaceful spot with gazebo, barbeque, table and chairs! It was a lovely, private place for breakfast! This house is situated right off of Hwy 76 with easy access to Oceanside and about a 20 minute drive to the beach at the Oceanside Pier. We had an early morning flight out of San Diego and drove to the airport easily in one hour. It was easy to find although nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. An In-And-Out Burger and several McDonald's are within several miles (we did not cook while we were there). Check-in was seamless and there were printed instructions posted for everything! We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I came down to look for a house to buy and stayed 5 days. It was perfect for us: centrally located, one story, & on a cul de sac, so minimal traffic. The house has two patios, so you can sit in the sun in the morning or afternoon. You can watch cable or DVDs in the living room. And there are plenty of chairs and sofas, plus a day bed. My wife always has trouble sleeping when we travel - the mattress is either too soft or too hard. But this mattress was “just right”. The bathtub is large & deep with an ergonomic back. I recommend taking a nice soak wile you are there. The shower is strong, as well. Shampoo was supplied. The WiFi worked well. The house was centrally located, which made travelling to surrounding towns to look at houses easier. There are two shopping districts within a mile of the house with anything you you might need, including restaurants, as well as a large county park. We also brought our dog and she loved it. The streets are quiet and easy to walk around on. If you continue down Old Ranch Road, you’ll walk into a more upscale neighborhood with a fenced walking trail on both sides of the road. If you continue to the end, you’ll find a dirt path that is parallel to hwy 76 and will take you all the way to Melrose, which is the turnoff to get to the house. But you can also return to the neighborhood by taking an adjoining footpath that deposits you a block away from the house. Recommended!!

Alyse was the perfect Host! She allowed me to maintain the patio landscaping because I love doing it and provided a leaf blower to make it easier. The property was super clean & had everything you need for an outdoor BBQ or indoor dinner party. There was a fenced yard so my dog could spend hours outdoors. The neighbors were friendly & I got to know a few on my daily walks with my dog. Alyse was close but respected my privacy. I felt very at home.
