We absolutely loved our accommodations. Perfect location, quick beach access and comfortable stay. Loved our time here. Herman is fantastic!! Highly recommend.

The owner was very accommodating when needing another chair and answered quickly when we had questions. The beach access was amazing and we were even able to play pickle ball not even 2 miles away. Very enjoyable vacation.

This property is just steps from one of the most beautiful swimming and walking beaches on Oahu. Private, quiet, but close to stores and shopping. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I started every morning with a swim and a beach walk, and I usually had the beach mostly to myself.

Venue was very clean and ideally located. Private access to beautiful white sand beach. Close to restaurants, groceries, and gas station. Convenient access to highways to rest of Oahu.

This is the place if you want privacy in a clean very well maintained cottage just three minutes away from the beach via a locked walkway. The owner lives on the proprty is thoughtful and very responsive to text and phone calls.

Very nice place. Quiet. Perfect size for my husband and I and my brother and sister in law. The cottage is on a dead end road so the place is very quiet. The walk to the beach is about 2 mins away. Beautiful beach. We walked the beach in the mornings and there were lots of man of war washed up so we didn’t swim there but it’s a very nice quiet private beach with very few people If we had more time it would have been a perfect place for a relaxing beach day. Herman was very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

Really nice property. Gated beach access roughly two minute walk. Host a pleasure to work with. Plenty of dining options in town. Drive to Pearl Harbor, Hono or airport around 20 minutes via H2 and never saw traffic backed up. Will definitely try booking this property again for my next visit.

I’m not sure how to review this place because I want it to stay a secret so we can stay here again but this place is an absolute gem! I say this because when searching for places to stay most everything is out in Waikiki and northshore area. Finding a place on the ocean side of Kalaheo Ave at the end of a quiet dead end street with semi private gated access to the beach is a rare find indeed. The apartment itself had everything we needed plus some nice extras. A/C and fans to keep temp cool, off street parking, beach equipment (chairs, umbrella, bodyboards, etc…), and a working kitchen. The owners were very accommodating with laundry access and a generous later checkout. I feel VERY fortunate to have found such a peaceful location on such a busy island in such a great town.

We didn’t know Hawaii at all but wanted ti be off the beaten path a bit. It was not super touristy but all the amenities were 10 mins away. We took a chance on this area and it was perfect. Highly recommend. Host was great, very accommodating

This house was perfect for our family of four. The proximity to the beach was wonderful, the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and communication with the owner was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Location was good. Close to beach. We enjoyed our stay on Oahu. However, the bedrooms did not have smoke detectors. The gas stove elements did not burn properly. Propane could be smelled in the cupboard beside the stove as well as in the master bedroom. One morning while cooking breakfast a huge fireball shot out of the oven. We were not using the oven. this was a concern as one of us was standing right in front of the stove when this happened. Communication during this time was good even though the owner was on vacation. he arranged for us to have a hotplate and loaned us his bar-b-que. however he did not have any contact with us when he returned from vacation before we left. I would suggest a fire extinguisher would be a good addition to have in the kitchen.

Our second time renting this spot! Can’t beat the location.

We were very happy with the property. We were staying in the area to spend time with family who live there. So only used the property for sleeping really. However the property is very comfortable and is in a great location. The beach access was priceless. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach as a family before the days got started.

The booking process and check in was very smooth. The owner met us upon arrival even though our flight was delayed and we arrived later than expected. He wanted to greet us and show us the private beach access. The home was clean, tidy and provided just enough space for our family of four. The location can’t be beat - beautiful Kailua Beach is just steps away and shopping/dining are within a short drive. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would consider staying here again. Highly recommend!

The property is in a great location in Kailua. Very comfortable. The host Herman was helpful, accommodating. He greeted us when we arrived, showed us around. There is a private walkway to go to the beach area. Place is quiet and private. Within distance to downtown Kailua. We would recommend renting this two bedroom, two bathroom, kitchen and living room space.

Outstanding beach cottage just steps from the beach! Property was comfortable and well appointed. There was even private gated access to a lovely beach complete with beach toys, chairs, umbrella, etc. Only problem was that we stayed out being golfers & tourists each day that we didn't have time to enjoy it enough! Easy access to town, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Landlord is nice and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Quiet neighborhood. Secluded yard.... Clean home...close to beach. Would stay here again.....

This property was in a great neighborhood and access to the beach was a 5 minute walk, Herman had beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards for us to use. We had an awesome vacation and would definitely book this rental in the future, thanks again Herman for being a great host🙂

My wife, son, and I loved staying at this 2 bedroom find in Kailua. It was a perfect retreat from a day of activity, and the quick walk to the beach was so convenient. Herman was very responsive and helpful with whatever we needed. Great option for smaller families or couples.

The stay was wonderful. Just a short walk to one beach and a short drive to several more. Also was private unlike crowded hotels. I would love to go back.

I had a bit lowered expectations going in but I absolutely love this place. Its a cute little place that comfortably housed 3 adults and a toddler. Kitchen space was ample and good bedroom space. The private walkway to the beach was really nice and the beach itself is fantastic for a swim and to spend the day. Kailua is such a beautiful area and Herman's place is in a great neighbourhood. Close to groceries, restaurants and everything else you need. If I were to recommend something...maybe a small loveseat in the living room? But honestly, I didnt mind pulling up a chair that was literally 2 steps away to join my group in hanging out in the living room. I strongly recommend this place As a side note(I dont think the Host knows), I originally booked this place back in February but had to cancel due to Omicron craziness. When we decided to rebook the trip for May, this place was our first priority, so much so that we decided to spend the first two nights in Waikiki in order to stay at his place as it was booked the first two nights we arrived. But I'm really glad we did and would love to be back.. Mahalo Herman

This beachside cottage was perfect for our trip! We had everything wee needed, the beach access was so convenient. we could walk down to the beach, and quickly return if we forgot something. We will definitively plan to stay at this cottage on our next trip.

Private, overall great stay!!!!!!

We have stayed at several guest houses in Kailua, and this one quickly rose to the top of our list of favorites. A well planned and furnished space with everything we needed plus private access to Kailua Beach - a perfect place to watch the day begin or end. Easy arrival and departure. Good parking spot. Beautiful yard. Friendly host. Great value. We would be very happy to stay here again in the future.

Location was great but some amenities weren't good. Outdated stove that you couldn't control the flamed on either burner. Even the oven burned our food.. cookware is at a minimum.. Shower head in master bedroom needs to be changed. Shower curtain was dirty Watee pressure in the sink was low. Air conditioning only in the living room area. The the price these problems should've been fixed!

Great apartment and Herman is a wonderful host. The pictures are accurate and worth the stay if you can snag it. We rented bikes for the week and truly a great way to get around the town

It is located in good neighborhood, easy access to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. I don’t like about property are bedroom door lock didn’t work properly. Master bedroom shower head didn’t work properly. Two of the patio chair sit were ripped that we couldn’t use. Frying pan was rusty. Laundry room availability was hit and miss.

This is a great place for two couples to stay. It’s secluded and off the beaten path.
