This is by far the best property I've ever stayed at. 5 stars all the way! Francesca is an amazing host. The property is gorgeous! The chef prepared what was the best food we ate while in Italy. I can't say enough good things about our stay. I highly recommend and plan to return. Thank you Francesca for making our stay so fantastic. You and your staff went above and beyond to take excellent care of us. I look forward to returning in the future.

We had the most amazing family vacation! The property was just perfect for our group of 17. We loved hanging out at the beautiful pool and chilling under the covered outdoor bar area. The house itself was amazing and everyone loved having there own bathroom! Francesca was amazing! She helped us set up some amazing excursions and responded quickly to any questions we had. We opted to have the house chef cook for us on 3 nights and I would highly recommend that! The food was amazing!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend this property the beauty of the area was amazing and it was a short drive to many beautiful places. We hope to return!

This a special place, if you are looking for beauty, history, scenery views, peace, good place to spend with the family and friends, this is your place. Francesca is the best host you will ever meet. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was just great. Since we had small children, we also appreciate that the pool was separated with a fence from the rest of the garden.

Set in beautiful grounds high up above Bagni di Lucca, Villa San Francesco was the perfect location for a family holiday. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the captivating views from the garden across the hills and the wonderful infinity pool, where we would spend many happy hours during the week. The interior is equally stunning, set out across three floors and providing plenty of cool spaces to retreat during the hot days and very comfortable bedrooms/bathrooms. The villa is perfect for al fresco meals, though make sure you bring adequate protection from the mozzies! With Francesca's help we uncovered some of the villa's history; it has an interesting past with previous occupants of local and international renown. The many books and pictures around the property provide great character and a sense of its past glories. Bagni di Lucca is actually separated into 3 villages, the largest of which sits below the villa and within easy walking distance. The main supermarket is well stocked and there are a few good places to eat, though nothing really special. You need a car or catch a bus to get to the railway station. We had a great day out in the historic town of Lucca, which is only a 30 minute train ride. This family holiday - we were joined by our 3 adult children and their partners - will live long in the memory.

The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. This was a fabulous holiday which we shall remember forever - we cannot recommend Villa San Francesco too highly.
