We have recently returned home after spending a fantastic week at Villa Rossa. We are a family of six adults and the villa was perfect for our needs, we found it very comfortable and welcoming. It's rural setting was the best place to enjoy a quiet relaxing time, but good to have shops and local amenities close by. We spent all of our mealtimes outside under the gazebo while cooking on the BBQ or in the pizza oven which was so much fun, we didn't feel the need to go out to eat at all. The swimming pool was the perfect place to cool off as the weather was fabulous. We had great days out visiting Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the beach at Lido I'd Camiore, but it was so nice to get back to the villa to chill out and relax after our time sightseeing. We would recommend this Villa Rossa to anyone planning a family holiday to Tuscany, we had a very happy time there. Sorry we didn't get to meet you Antonio, but thank you for sharing Villa Rossa.

The ground floor 1 bed apartment was ideal for our daughter, her partner and 20 month old twins. It was on one level with its own kitchen and led directly to the garden. The main living are with its kitchen enabled us to cook meals for our large family group in the evening. Many a great night was spent together out in the garden, enjoying the swimming pool and bbq. The property was set in beautiful countryside with a short walk to the shops. The villa was clean, tidy and Antonio, the owner was charming and very helpful Villa Rossa is perfect for a family group. It is in a great location and ideal for anyone wanting a to rent a villa with the home from home feel about it. It was spotless and the kitchens fully equipped had all we would expect from a rental and more. The location was perfect for exploring Pisa, Lucca and Florence and we enjoyed days out to the Cinque Terre and Siena. We did notice a review that said they were disappointed and we cant understand why? as we found it just fantastic. I'm surprised by these reviews. In three months of travelling and staying in many places through Europe, this was the worst accommodation. Expensive too for a place we couldn't wait to get out of. The dust and the cobwebs were unbearable. Having 3 of those awful plastic covers on the dining table is just insulting to guests when the house is this poorly presented.

WE were 3 couples and three singles and we couldn't have been happier with this lovely home. It's an easy walk to the Conad grocery store with stops at the Bank, Gelato store and cappuccino bar on the way to access the internet. Joanna and Antonio were very helpful but not intrusive. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked most nights. Every worked, including the dishwasher and washing machine. The pool was a little brisk but perfect after a sticky day of walking. Downside?...I'm thinking...still thinking...Thanks Antonio for providing such a marvelous home.

The property is clean, tidy, furnished and decorated to a high standard with everything you could wish for from a luxury villa rental. We loved the garden with its pizza oven and gazebo and the pool was welcome to cool off in during the midday heat. The owner Antonio was really kind and helpful, we requested a welcome meeting and he gave us lots of tips on things to see and do in the area as well as helping us with a problem with our hire car company. Not speaking the language it would have been impossible for us to sort it out without him. The area is beautiful the village has everything you need, the restaurants are busy and very Italian, serving amazing food dishes at lunch time and in the evening. We loved it so much we have booked again for 2015 to bring other members of our family and are now counting the days to when we return to this little pieve of Tuscan paradise! We would highly recommend Villa Rossa for a Holiday break!f

Our holiday this year at Villa Rossa was fantastic. The villa was perfect for our family group of 10 who wanted time together and a chill out holiday. The ground floor setup as a 1 bed apartment was ideal for our parents, as it was on one level, and led directly to the garden. The property had 2 fully equipped kitchens with all we needed to cook meals for our large family group in the evening. Many a great night was spent together out in the lovely garden under the gazebo, enjoying the bbq and trying out the pizza oven. We travelled to see Pisa and Florence which was easy to get to from the property. We were however just content to stay at the villa, as it had a real home from home feeling that for us wanting a chill out holiday together made it perfect. We chose not to have a welcome meeting with the owner as some of our group had been to Tuscany before so we knew our way around. Although we did find him very acommodating when we needed help with something. If you are thinking of booking a holiday villa we would recommend Villa Rossa it is just lovely.

The area is lovely, the villa is very close to the charming town centre and beautiful river so it was very relaxing and easy to get around. Antonio and Joanna were extremely helpful, the villa spotless and comfortable. Outdoor BBQ was a big plus. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anybody!

Villa Rossa was large and comfortable, well furnished and well stocked with everything one would need for a holiday. Clean bed linens and ample towels provided for us all which was appreciated. The pool outside was appreciated after a hot day's sightseeing - unfortunately the mosquitos were very pleased to see us all despite us being lathered in repellents. The villa has mosquito netting on the windows so safe enough inside! Enjoyed walking into Bagni di Lucca and can recommend Moma for dinner. There can sometimes be a little wait but worth it as the food is delicious. We visited Lucca and several of the mountain villages. Castel nuovo di Garfagnana is well worth a visit. Pretty town with some lovely restaurants and shops selling local produce. The owners of the villa Antonio and Joanna were helpful pre booking and during our stay. I think I'd have liked to stay longer!

We would heartily recommend a holiday in Villa Rossa di Campiglia - a lovely well-equipped property in beautiful surroundings. We travelled in a family grouping of 7 - 5 adults and 2 children - and had the best holiday yet here. The children especially loved having the pool, very handy to escape the heat of the day! Everything was to hand on site and local amenties - shops, supermarkets, restaurants - were all fab. Many many thanks to our hosts Antonio and Joanna for a lovely stay xx

An amazing villa rental, spacious, clean and with a real home from home feel. The villa was really well equipped with everything we needed for our family holiday. The location is really tranquil yet in the evenings we walked to the restaurants and pizzerias (a real plus when all want to have a drink). We visited Pisa and Lucca and wanted to see more places however found the villa so relaxing we stayed there most days. The pool was real plus for the kids and adults in our group. The owner was friendly and helpful, full of advice on what there was to see and do in the area which was a real plus. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a villa rental in Tuscany.

We rented this villa with friends in early May as a central place we could all meet and take day-trips to Lucca & Florence or just explore Bagni di Lucca. This was the 6th villa we have rented in the past few years so we have some experience with the process and expectations. Two things stand out with this one: The owners, Joanna and Antonio are extremely helpful and available to help with anything we needed. What we primarily needed help with was transportation and they made things very easy for our group when we needed to stay late in Lucca (later than the trains or buses run) and when we needed to catch an early train for our departure. Also, the villa beds and bathrooms are by far the most updated we have ever had in Europe, which was a nice touch. We never ran out of hot water, even with 7 people in the house. The property is exactly as pictured and the walk to the main part of tiny Bagni di Lucca was easy. We would recommend taking the buses for the most efficient transportation to Lucca and Pisa as the train station is not as convenient and not nearly as nice as the buses. We recommend the cooking mammas as a fun night in with excellent local food. Also, La Lira was probably the best pizza we have ever had in Italy- highly recommend it if you can get a reservation. We were unable to use the pool or outdoor areas as much as we had hoped due to a few storms the week were were there, but everything was well-maintained and clean. There were no children in our group but I could see how this would be great for families traveling with young children too. Our group did not have a car and were heavily reliant on public transportation. Siena and Cinque Terra are pretty ambitious day-trips without a car, so we stuck to Lucca and Pisa for day-trips. In spite of the rainy weather during our stay, we had a great time and enjoyed discovering Bagni di Lucca. Thanks for taking great care of us, Antonio & Joanna!

We were a party of 9 , covering 3 generations , that spent 2 weeks in Villa Rossa . It was absolutely beautiful . It is within easy reach of the town with plenty of bars/restaurants ( we recommend Moma ) and shops , my wife and mother-in-law loved the jewish junk shop ! The villa itself is in a fab position and easy to reach . Plenty of space in both the house and garden and we seemed to spend an awful lot of time eating and drinking around the family table underneath the gazebo . The bbq is ace for cooking , it has well equipped kitchens if you want to cook yourself . The villa has its odd little quirk that might not be to everybodys liking but they are minor details when you look out of the balconies into the valley . We loved it here , Antonio and Jo were on the case straight away when we had a problem and could not be more helpful . One last piece of advice if you are staying at the villa . Do not stand on any scales for at least 2 weeks after you return home !

As the plane door opened in Pisa my little girl (who's ears were blocked from the flight) shouted back at me "Look Mom it's Summertime!", and it was. We were so lucky to leave Rainy Ireland behind in June and spend 3 wonderful weeks in Tuscany. Villa Rossa (or "The Red House" as my kids called it) is beautiful. The house itself has everything you could wish for, simple things like loads of glasses, cutlery, kitchen equipment made it a home from home. The house itself is spotless. Joanna explained everything in great detail and even took the time to show us around the village which was much appreciated as we got our bearings straight away. Our children are 6 and 4, the house was perfect for them with a very safe, gated pool and lots of toys. My Parents and Uncle joined us for 12 days during our stay and the house is so well proportioned that we all had our own space. We enjoyed using the BBQ and Pizza Oven having some lovely family nights eating 'Al Fresco'. Villa Rossa is a great base for travelling around the area and if you don't have a car (which we didn't for the 1st week) the buses and trains are great value and on time (most of the time!) Lucca is a beautiful walled town, we cycled quite a bit here which made the trip very memorable. Another day we jumped (literally) on a train to Florence and ended up staying the night there....my children loved the excitement of it. Horse riding, adventure centres etc were all very accessible and very child friendly. We loved everything about the holiday and could not fault Villa Rossa in any way. As we got in the taxi on the last morning a very bleary eyed little girl looked up at me and whispered "The days went too fast Mom" and they did! We were all very sad to be leaving :( but we will be back :)

My family and I stayed here last week and had a lovely time. The villa was excellent. It is a spacious property with smart furnishings and clean interior. We had towels and clean bedlinen and the bathroom was spotless. The beds were comfy and the road outside very quite. The garden was great for the kids and the pool was perfect. The area is scenic and the local village was a typical Tuscan village with good restaurants and cafe's. It is difficult to fault it in any way!!! David.
