Big room, friendly staff

I found the price for adding a baby cot (20 euro per night) too high - everywhere else we stayed in Belgium during our trip it was for free. For half the price that we would have paid for having the cot during our stay, we just bought one and took it back home.

Very clean and convenient apartment. Great location and good check in/out times. Superb! We really enjoyed our stay!

The place is spacious! Which is welcome in todays trend of tiny room accommodations where you have to move sideways or unable to open your suitcase. Here you have no trouble, nowhere near to it. Have comfy bed. It's location is not the best for the tourist destinations but is acceptable, 20m walk. But is fairly close to metro and shops. It is more ideal for EU institutions. Its kitchenette is adequately equipped for breakfast and small meals. My wife thinks its decor, with its 100 year old style is charming. It is quiet as well, our room (room named 'music') faced the back, so no traffic or pedestrian noises at all. The staff is very kind, helpful and professional. They give instructions in an easy to follow and understand manner.

The negative is its age of the building. The steps in the neighbouring rooms are heard as deep rumble, could be annoying. Its bathroom shows its age, chipped paintings, worn steps - despite modern tiles, must have been renovated quite some time ago - and not all corners can be cleaned well despite the obvious diligence. Even the rooms have untidy cables and outlets. There are steps up in the bathroom. For the ca. 170EUR I found the place overpriced. For one night it was ok, but I wouldn't like to stay longer or staying again if I had other choice.
