Everything was great

This was my second stay at this property, I returned to it after a few years because I had really nice memories of my first stay. The hotel is still great and has a few new improvements! The staff are friendly and professional, and there is a kind of pop-up bar at the reception which adds a nice touch. My room was spacious, clean and had a nice view. The Internet connection was good and stable throughout my stay. I had breakfast booked, and the breakfast was great, with a wide variety of foods to suit every taste. I liked the fact that the amount of food was determined on the basis of the number of guests. The option of getting fresh-made scrambled eggs with an addition of your choice made me feel at home! Finally, the neighbourhood in which the hotel is situated is nice and quiet. I will definitely come back to Hotel Schumacher the next time I am in Duesseldorf. And every time after that! :-)

The hotel is a bargain if you consider location and the fact they have quite a robust breakfast included in the price. I was given a nice clean room with all the standards that you'd expect, it was quiet and more than exceeded my expectations. Polite and helpful staff, location is not more than a 15 min walk to the main station and there are good restaurants and supermarket a good 5-10 min walk. Great value.

The location is very good!

The hotel's location is excellent to discover Dusseldorf. It provides private parking nearby for those travelling with car. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is abundant and varied with fresh items like cold cuts, cheese, eggs, sausages, pancakes, cereals and fresh fruit amongst others. The staff is gentle and helpful too.

I liked the hotel but would have liked a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea.

This hotel was better than expected: The location is excellent, my room was clean, heating on, the check-in and check-out were fast. It is possible to get very cheap ticket for the regional public transport at the reception desk (3EUR/day if I remember correctly), which could be marketed more even on booking.com - for me, it would be a clear reason to select this hotel. It just takes a while to get this ticket sold at the reception - it looked like the staff member sold it for the first time.

We had a very short stay but it was comfortable! The room was clean, the bathroom had a lot of space. Interesting artwork in the halls. Breakfast was plentiful, with many options to choose from and they are refilled (I was super happy about fresh fruits like pineapple and mango). Walking distance to the main station (maybe less comfortable if you have heavy luggage).

I would totally add a kettle in the room.
