Will be helpful if staff can communicate in basic English as I do not speak Japanese.

the room was very small, i’ve been in several hotels in Japan and this one was really small

location was so convenient. It was not that far from Takayama station and it‘s near the Red Bridge which is one of the tourist spot in Takayama. Bed was super comfy. We didn‘t dip ourselves in the public bath but just take a look at it somehow. The public bath looks nice though. Hotel can also keep our luggage before check in and after check out which is super convenient for us to travel around baggage-free. The check in and check put process went by quite fast even though there were many guests waiting when we went for check out.

room size was small but it‘s also up to Japanese standard. There were only 1-2 power socket in the room which we find it a bit unconvenient because we have many electronic gadgets that are needed to be charged overnight.

The room was as clean as expected and the location of the hotel excellent considering the distance from the JR station. The main recommended restaurants on Trip Advisor were close by - in walking distance - therefore I was very pleased with the location. The main surprise was the "onsen" option - definitely some kind of divine blessing after spending the whole day in a windy and rainy weather.

Very spacious room, large and comfortable bed, very clean, close to the station, quiet room, friendly and helpful staff, good counter measures against Covid-19

The amenities were below our expectations, taking into account the price per night. The breakfast was ok but we would have preferred a little bit more diversity.

Comfortable room, wonderful spa, delicious breakfast, kind and attentive staff

The only thing that bothered me was the fact the pictures of the spa on the top floor have been photoshopped to make it look like you have an amazing view as you bathe.... The reality is was that the glass is completely frosted and too high to see over from the bath. Bit disappointed that pics, in that way, are a lie! But apart from that, great!

Room too small for the price. The bed was rather uncomfortable.

Helpful staff- made dinner reservation for us and organised luggage forward service. easy location to bus terminal, train and main sights in town. Clean rooms and nice reception area. Great that they had real coffee you could make at reception when you wanted it. Liked the big window - we could watch snow falling.

Smallish bathroom and bed but fine for the price
