Estuvimos en el apartamento de dos habitaciones. Espacioso. La piscina y el jardín. La amabilidad de la familia. Desayuno con elementos locales y continentales.

Spacious room, large garden, quiet area.
There was no soap in one of the two rooms we booked. In our bathroom we had body wash in a bottle labelled "hand wash", which was confusing. These little details are a must. These basics must be adhered to.

The hosts Melani & Christian were so kind to us. on arrival they greeted us with big smiles, welcome drinks & fruit! The grounds are beautiful. We saw monkeys, squirrels, birds & a huge water monitor lizard! Room was super clean & spacious with all the facilities you need. Even small things that you don’t get in all homestays like hand towels, toilet roll, fridge & chopping board/knife. They all served us the best breakfast we have had in Sri Lanka. They will go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay, providing umbrellas in the rain, recommendations and great conversation when you see them. Definitely book this place if you’re staying in Unawatuna!

Beautiful garden. Clean and big room and bathroom. Amazing hosts. Breakfast was really great with lots of fruits. We rented a scooter with a really good price from our host, which was so handy. They also took us to the beach and then to train station with their tuk tuk free of charge. They're kind and hospitable. We loved our stay.

we felt very well in this location.
the room is big, as is the bathroom. the yard is gorgeous with all kinds of animals (monkeys, squirrels, birds, etc.).
the breakfast is delicious, every morning we were offered something else.
The staff is very friendly and offers you everything you need. thank you Christian and Melani for your hospitality

The staff were super helpful. The homemade food was delicious and there was plenty of it.
Overall the location was very pliant and peaceful.
Villa Gaetano is situated quite a distance from Unawatuna...too far to walk but easy and free with tuktuk orovided by the Villa

Lovely garden with lots of nature and places to relax in hammocks. Good size room with useful extras such as a fridge. 10 min tuktuk to two different beaches

The staff was really friendly. The food (daily breakfast as well as dinner) was amazing. The best on our journey so far. The room was spacious, clean and the AC worked well.
During the night was a Party somewhere and we could hear the music

Very nice big room, very clean! Nice garden with a lot of trees and beautiful flowers and hammocks to chill. The swimmingpool is great! The owners did everything to make you feel at home, they even brought us to the village with their own tuktuk. The breakfast is great, lots of different fruits and everyday something else to eat. We would definitly recommend to stay here!

the staff were friendly & helpful at any time of the day nothing was too much trouble. the breakfast was lovely & the dinner we had there was beautiful and so much choice and large portion size - we didn’t use the pool but excellent price considering there was one - we got a free upgraded room for our honeymoon - the rooms were really clean - this is our first time travelling & it got us off to an excellent start xx
the driver they arranged took someone else from the airport instead of us which delayed our arrival but the staff were so apologetic for this. the tuktuk driver also arranged by them took us to the wrong beach on the first day despite me telling him repeatedly where we wanted to go and him saying it was there which meant due to our time limit we didn’t get to visit one of the beaches we wanted to

By far the best place not only around Unawatuna, but throughout our entire trip in Sri Lanka. Just a paradise in the middle of the mangrove. The nicest and most polite staff, an absolutely fabulous breakfast and amazing rooms. Even the WiFi was great, which isn't the case everywhere!
If I had to pick it would be that we could only stay for 2 nights.

nice quiet property a short tuk tuk ride from beautiful beaches . Often the owner would transport us to the beach free of charge if he wasn’t busy .The property is well maintained with lovely gardens around . The owner and family are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much effort . The breakfast was terrific. I would definitely return to stay at this property again .

very quite area, nice clean pool, comfortable rooms with a/c and bathroom, fridge and kettle. they put even free tea and sugar in the room for the guests.
the owners are very friendly. you feel like in your friends house, having the nice hotel service.
and even more… we were with our 6 month son and Gemini (the grandfather of the family) helped us and held the son while we were eating.
also Gemini helped me to rent a good car at a cheap price from another friendly family.
the food is another thing. it was realy the best food we eat on the island of sri-lanka, and the price was more then reasonable.

very clean and nice house, with good shower and very kind owner with his family. we booked one night but did stay for two! the second day we did get a really good breakfast from the owner on his costs! The place is wonderful, good swimmingpool and the location is quit but not far from the beach! We enjoyed really much!

Great comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast is perfect. This is a private family business where everyone tries to make you feel good. The pool is medium size and ok.
The main host, wanting to please the guests, can be a little tiring and pushy, but it will meet all your desires. The water in the pool might be a little cleaner.

The Villa is in a quiet location and is very clean and comfortable. The family and staff go above and beyond in making the stay comfortable - from upscale and comfortable accommodations, to good food, excellent and welcoming service, to extras amenities and care that most places wouldn’t provide. If time permits, I would love to have a long stay here in the future.

The hosts were amazing nothing was too much haste, breakfast was 10/10 and the gardens and pool were beautiful short Tuk Tuk ride to beach / restaurants every evening the staff arranged Tuk Tuk for us to get down to the Main Street even dropped us there selfs one evening. room was good with everything you could need tea / coffee fridge & water and this was the cheapest room.

Melani and her family were incredibly helpful and welcoming when my husband and I arrived at Villa Gaetano. The location is set in the mangroves from Unawatuna, a short tuk tuk ride from the beach away from the noisy main road. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the gardens from our balcony. I plan to return to stay here with my family next year as I have no doubt that they would love it.

The room was very comfortable with a nice outside seating area. The bathroom was large with several toiletries.
The host, family and staff were very welcoming, respectful and attentive. They arranged trips, lit up mosquito coils in the evening and supplied us with cold flannels on arrival and after a rainforest trip. They even sent out a driver to guide our driver on arrival after we got lost!
Communication was excellent from the moment we booked.
The food and service was excellent.
Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent stay.
