A fabulous ensemble of musicians with a female vocalist were playing Santana on stage in the outdoor dining area our first night there and it was FANTASTIC. The breakfast is complimentary and has a range of items to order from bagels to crepes to Tico, always with fresh fruit. The dining staff is wonderful. The swimming pools are deluxe. We had a little balcony where we could observe and listen to birds and occasionally the howler monkeys. We walked to the beach every morning and evening (about 5 minutes) for sunrise and sunset. It is a long stretch of beach used by local families and you can always find shade in the early morning. Our room was so spacious, a firm yet comfortable mattress, air conditioned, small kitchen area, clothes closet with hangers, and a large bathroom area. Towels and linens were very nice. There is a safe in the room.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Room was a little small, but comfortable. Very good location, an easy walk to Playa Hermosa. The night we were there there was a very good band in the restaurant. Food quality was very good. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again without hesitation.

We loved the restaurant very much. Jose (wait staff) and Randall were so welcoming and friendly. The food was so good we may come back just to eat there. The pool was also very nice. The price was excellent.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable as well as the pillows but really that’s the only thing!

Villa del Sueño is such a gem! The property is a very short (5 minute or less) walk to the beach but secluded and very private. The staff was an absolute highlight, the entire staff knew our whole group’s names by the second day! They also were very accommodating for a late checkout after our flights back to the US were delayed. The bedrooms were very comfortable with great A/C. Breakfast was delicious and huge and there is a selection of different options ranging from typical Costa Rican to crepes. I highly recommend!

No pool towels? No room mini fridge. I think some kind of retrofit to be make bathroom more water conserving might ve good?

Everything was exceptional. The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful, the food was delicious, the pool was glorious and even better, the beach was close and amazing. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Long hike to the beach

Very well managed property only 30 minutes from Liberia airport. Superb breakfast included in the very reasonable price. Loved the grounds as they are close to very active howler monkeys and the beach.

It’s just perfect! It’s a place of your dreams. Everything is so beautiful, perfectly maintained! People working there are wonderful! We enjoyed every minute of our stay there and will happily return!

I liked everything!

The staff, like everyone mentions, was wonderful. Ronnie was an absolute delight and went above and beyond to help my boyfriend and me in various situations. All of the staff make sure you feel very welcome. It depends on what type of trip you are looking for, but for our stay, it was a good fit. Would maybe spend one less day there.

The pool and rooms weren't amazing. The room had great AC and wifi but was quite small and didn't have a view.
