The Distinction Hotel was an excellent choice for my husband and me who came to attend a week long conference. At the centre of the city, a few minutes walk from Te Pae, it was also very close to the shopping district, cafes, the art museum, the earthquake museum. art centre and the riverside market. Our room was very comfortable, the servicing of the room was excellent and staff at the desk and in the restaurant were great, cheerful, welcoming, helpful. We commend in particular the excellent breakfast buffet.

The weather was a bit rainy and the wind was very strong on one particualr day. But then it was winter!

The room was spacious, the staff was very warm and polite and best of all the food was amazing! The restaurant has really nice selections of meals, with great portions and all seasoned nicely. I ate the pecan pie almost everyday!

Gute Lage mitten in Christchurch

Ein sogenanntes Upgrade war ein Zimmer im 2.Stock mit Blick auf die Baustelle der Kathedrale. Auf Nachfrage bekamen wir ein Zimmer in der gebuchten Kathegorie classic Junior Suite im 6. Stock, welches sehr gut war. Die Bar wollte am Samstag schon um 9 Uhr pm schliessen

Phoned prior to arrival to check on room service availability as arriving after 9pm. On arrival found out no alcohol or plain bottled water available only mini bar contents which are poor. No wine and poor beer choice. Room menu poor.

Great location and lovely staff

It is located centrally in the Christchuch CBD, close to every attractions within the city such as the Riverside Market Place, Botanical Garden etc. Also, it is the biggest hotel in the Christchurch CBD. Highly recommended!
