A little hard to find.

There is a song: Nothing compares to you It is the first time in my life that I give full marks to a place. The best option for someone to stay in Carcassonne . Above all the view. We had organised a wine/cheese/salami with my wife. Denise thank you for everything.

Denise is a perfect host, very welcoming. Accommodation is quiet and comfy with a good shower and thoughtful attention to detail throughout. Excellent location and the pool/ area is an added bonus.

Absolutely wonderful place. Hosts were so lovely and welcoming and the location was stunning. A view over the old city and not far to walk to it either. Room was modern and comfortable and the breakfast was superb.

Denise was the best host ever! The room was large, new and clean. The breakfasts were superb. The view from our deck looked out right onto Old Carcassonne... The location brilliant. Denise went above and beyond in every way... From washing my husband's shirts, to arranging a day tour, to suggesting good restaurants, to driving us to the train station. Incredible service.

Excellent location between the cité medieval and the new town. Beautiful sight on the castle. Warm welcome and excellent breakfast. Large room, nicely decorated and access to kitchen and terrace with view on the medieval city.

This place is wonderful in every way ! Amazing is all I can say……the place to stay. Very close to the old city and the new city, 10-20 minute walk. Wonderful view from the property overlooking the castle walls. The pool and garden are beautiful. The hosts live on site and couldn’t be more friendly and helpful 10/10 ! WONDERFUL

There was nothing we didnt like

Very clean room with amaizing view over citadel. Comfortable bed, quick wifi, good aircondition. Terace, pool and kitchen are shared with other guests but there are only 2 rooms at the property, so we were lucky to have it all for ourselves. Location is really good at the end of downtown, very quite, 10 min walk to the citadel. Very nice helpfull hosts and service is great as well.

Everything was really good: * The room was clean and very well and sober decorated; * The breakfast was delicious and customized (eggs, coffee or tea, cheese, meat, bread,...) * The service was excellent and the host did everything to make us feel at home * What more can you wish for if you have such an excellent view on Carcassonne from your terrace and there's even a pool?

I cannot think of anything that the host could have done better.

This place is run by a woman who has built a two unit rental flat onto her own home. It's modern, spotless clean, and big and roomy. The bed is super comfortable, the shower is big and effective, and she serves a breakfast that was everything we wanted. It's in a great location halfway between the castle and the city so you can easily walk to either. They are on a quiet, safe street and you can probably find a space to park there (at no cost). If not there's a big free lot by the river park around the corner. You will want to leave your car parked until you leave Carcassonne since, unless you are handicapped, it's much easier to walk. If you step out onto the balcony you will have one of the best views of the castle you can find anywhere. The river is right around the corner and there's a walking bridge to the castle side. You can walk to the castle gate at a leisurely pace in less than ten minutes. But you can also go into town in no time, which is good for eating since the places in and around the castle are touristy. We ate at La Table de la Bastide, which was fabulous - our best meal on this France trip, and that included a seven course meal at a Michelin star restaurant. You have to make a reservation, though - the place is popular with locals.

At the price only an unreasonable person could ask for more.
