very spacious

We chose the property for its location. Although it is too spacious for us, i would reccomand it for a bigger group or big family. Mike was fantastic, the fact having the host live nearby is great added value. To be honest, the property is older than we expected. Hwv, it is old with character.

we found the heating a little bit strange, it is turned to warm, and it cools down. May be because the house is large so the heating seems insufficient.

The size and facilities at the property

Very Spacious house, perfect for 7 of us. Very homely feel and had everything we needed. 2 parking spaces outside.

Taxis were a bit of an issue to get as your just a little bit out of the city centre in their eyes. So I fully recommend pre-booking All your taxis, especially if in a bigger group. 5 minute taxi ride and you’re into town

Loved every minute of my stay, if I'm ever back in this location I'll try and book again.

Mike was amazing, excellent communication at all times, he went above and beyond.

Very spacious apartment with everything you need and is kept clean and maintained. Property has its own private entrance and has very high ceilings and generally a lot of space everywhere. There are three double bedrooms, a huge kitchen and big lounge/dining room. One bedroom has ensuite with sink, bath & WC, and there is another separate shower room with sink and WC. Is all on the ground floor with parking outside. Apartment is on a bus route and is very near to the local amenities on Mutley Plain. The town centre and Barbican/seafront area are about a ten minute drive depending on traffic but is not far in a car, and is walkable but a longer walk obviously. The owners live upstairs and are very welcoming and will help out with things as needed.

Would have preferred a shower in the en-suite, a shower/bath arrangement would be good, and possibly there used to be a shower attachment on the bath but not when we stayed. The sink in that room is quite high but there is a step stool if needed. The shower room has a large overhead shower but not the sort that you can hold and guide around body which is my preference. The drain was a bit slow running and due to the overhead shower you have to be standing mainly by the drain which is underneath. The shower room door stuck a bit and the bedroom door next to it but those things can be adjusted fairly easily.

needs some updating, broken cabinet doors in the kitchen, main bathroom shower unit and towel rail very grubby.

The size , location and style of apartment

Lovely spacious rooms, washing machine and tumble dryer, well equipped kitchen.

Brilliant stay. Host was fantastic, nothing too much trouble. Location was perfect for us, easy walking distance to local shops and just out of the city enough to be quieter. Easy route to get back on to A38 too. Bags of space and all the amenities you could wish for!

The shower room is a bit small, although the en-suite bathroom is very spacious.

Everything was spot on.Mike really does go out of his way to help.Elm Lodge is like home from home,it has everything you need.Close to the shops,a short drive to the ferry & a lovely walk into Plymouth.Would highly recommend, infact I have on Navy mums.

The space was incredible. We had 2 children ( 4 & 10 ) with us and my adult daughter and we had lots of space in every room. Having 2 bathrooms was a big bonus. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding if we needed them and the kitchen had all necessary equipment to make and eat meals. There were 2 parking spaces which was ideal for us. Great contact with host who was very helpful.
